Hazel's P.O.V
We stood frozen in the middle of the kitchen with the knives tightly clenched in our hands. Funny enough, no one screamed at all, we just made very frightened faces and fell on the floor in horror a couple of times.
Hannah though, walked over to the large silver fridge in the corner of the room and pulled out a 'Krispey Kreme' doughnut from the top shelf and decided to causally stuff her mouth in, as if we hadn't just been standing in the middle of a freaking thriller.
Danielle walked over to her and slapped the last of the doughnut she was about to eat onto the floor. "What the fuck are you doing?" She snapped quietly shaking her head in disappointment.
Hannah made a baby face at the floor and pretended to cry. "I was just about to eat that," she sniffled.
Danielle smiled evilly and opened the fridge as well, pulling out an iced doughnut from the box and stuffing it into her mouth.
What the hell were they doing?
"Hey that's not fair!" Hannah shouted trying to open up the fridge.
"Ssssssh!" Everyone hissed at her.
Hannah still tried to open up the fridge but Danielle was stopping her by putting her back on the surface so the door wouldn't budge. She was laughing silently and slowly chewing the doughnut just to make Hannah jealous.
"Open the fucking door!" Hannah hissed with an annoying voice. "If I don't get to finish my doughnut, then I get a another one."
"They're too loud," Grace said.
"I know." Zoey agreed.
The girls were right. Hannah and Danielle were being too loud, and we weren't exactly sure if the intruder had actually left. What if he or she slammed the door and stayed in the house?
I looked onto the kitchen table and noticed that Hannah and Danielle had placed their knives on the surface, obviously because they didn't want to stab themselves in the process of fighting for doughnuts. Putting my own knife back in the knife holder, I walked over to Danielle and Hannah, grabbed their knives in both my hands and held them up in front of me.
"Put. The. Doughnuts. Down." I commanded, stepping forward and raising my eyebrows.
Hannah and Danielle froze in the midst of their bickering; I slightly smiled as a piece of doughnut fell out of Danielle's mouth because her gob was wide open. We all stared at the floor, cringing at the sight of Danielle's mushy doughnut.
"Fine, but next time your mum buys Krispey Kreme's Danielle doesn't get any," Hannah moaned stepping away from the fridge and walking back over to the others.
Danielle was still standing right in front of the fridge, her hand was on the handle and she was just about to pull it open.
"Danielle...NO!" I deadpanned her walking forwards with the knives still in my hand.
"But I'm hungry," she whined opening the fridge up more.
"I don't care if you're hungry, we have an intruder to stop."
"Yeah but...But...I'm really hungry."
"You already said that."
"Let me have it Hazel." Danielle got another iced doughnut and was about to plop it into her mouth.
"Don't let her have it, that's so not fair," Hannah said from behind me.
I shook my head. "Danielle, if you eat that, you're never getting any again," I warned her.
