Chapter 11

"That movie was great!" I exclaimed. 

"I didn't really watch it.." Jake said.

"What do you mean? You were with me the entire time."

"I guess I was watching you the entire time." Jake smiled.

"Come on." I giggled."Make full use of the time and the money we spent for that movie."

Jake laughed as he hugged me."Sure sure."

"I'm really hungry.." I told him."Let's grab a bite."

"Okay." Jake said, releasing me from his embrace.

"Sweet couple." A voice spoke.

We both turned around just to find Clare with a few of her friends.

"Hey Clare." I greeted her." What are you doing here?"

"Ooh I was watching a movie and then I saw someone I really missed." Clare smiled.

"Someone you missed? Oh I see." I said. Jake didn't say a word as he stood by me.

"Missed me?" Clare said.

"Miss you? Erm..not really." I replied.

"I wasn't talking to you." Clare answered.

"Then..who?" I asked as I slowly shifted my gaze towards Jake."What's going on?"

Jake didn't look at me. He kept his head down.

"Jake..?" I trembled."W-what's going on?"

"Jayne dear...I have to tell you we had an amazing time together during the trip. And you know what I mean." Clare winked at me.

When those words came left her lips, the moment I heard it, it felt as if my heart broke into millions of pieces.

"Jayne.." Jake reached out for me.

"You get your hands off me!" I cried." Don't you ever touch me!"

"Jayne! I didn't know what happened! I really didn't-"

"Oh sure you didn't! It's a shame you only had a few days to have fun no wait you can go with her now!" I shouted, with the tears on the edge of my eyes.

"Jayne! Please forgive me!" Jake begged.

"Come on Jake." Clare walked over to him.

"Come with me."

I walked over to Clare and slapped her."That's for you."

"You!" Clare growled as she placed her hands on her red cheek.

"Jayne! I love you! I really do!" Jake held my hands.

"Don't! Let go of me now Jake Allen!" I stated." You know real well whether you do."

I forcefully broke free of his hands over mind. I started running.

I wanted to run away. Run away from everything. 

I loved Jake. But why? Why must things come to this?

My tears flowed down. I'll never be able to touch him or smell his shirt as we hugged anymore.

Why did I have to lose two man I loved?

Dad is gone. And now Jake is too.

I ran out of the mall and got out into the sunlight. 

But everything seemed lifeless to me. The whole world has lost its colour.

Those legs of mine didn't stop, the feeling of anger and heartbreak was too overwhelming such that I don't feel anything.
