Chapter 13

"What a flight!" Samantha exclaimed.

"Yeah." Henry agreed as he stretched.

"You feeling alright?" Austin turned to me. His hair was in a mess and he looked really tired.

"Yeah I am. Are you?" I gently flicked his hair to make it neater.

"Erm.." Austin stepped back."Y-yeah."

"Come on! Jayne and Austin!" Samantha called out. 

"Coming!" I said as I carried my bags.

We're in Cleveland, Ohio where Lucas  lives now.

And it's noon now because we took the morning flight.

"Lucas' gonna pick us up!" Samantha smiled.

"Sure." Henry said.

We waited at the carpark. Samantha was on the phone.

"Hey dude. You alright?" Henry asked.

I turned behind. Austin was looking really tired.

"Austin, you should get some sleep in the car later on." I walked towards him.

Austin nodded. 

A white SUV stopped in front of us and a guy wearing a shirt along with jeans came out of the car.

"Hey Sam!" That guy hugged her.

"Lucas!" Samantha said excitedly. 

"Hey Lucas!" I smiled.

"Jayne! Wow. You really changed!" Lucas replied.

"I must say the same for you." I laughed.

"And they must be Austin and Henry."Lucas smiled.

"Yeah..this is Henry my brother and that's Austin." I told him.

"Is Austin your boyfriend?" Lucas asked.

"Er..No..no..He's the same age as Henry." I denied.

"Alright. Okay okay." Lucas answered."Come on, put your things in the trunk."

We placed the bags at the trunk and got into the car.

Samantha sat in the front with Lucas and I sat behind in the middle between Henry and Austin.

"Sis. Let me change seats with you." Henry said.

"No. I don't wanna move. Don't be childish, Henry." I told him.

"Ugh." Henry sighed and turned away.

Austin's eyes were closed. He leaned against the door as he slept.

"Is Austin asleep?" Samantha turned to the back.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Don't let him lean on the window! It's really painful." Samantha pointed out.

"No it's not." Henry said."See, I'm doing it right now."

"Whatever, metal head." Samantha rolled her eyes."Jayne, it's really uncomfortable for him and he's exhausted so have a heart."

"Erm..okay." I slowly placed Austin's head on my shoulder.

I felt his hair on my cheek.

This was really awkward. I looked down to him.

Austin was different from Jake. But he had something in common in him that Jake has.

I cannot point out what that is though. Slowly, I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.
