"There you go!" Mom smiled warmly as she touched up on my makeup.

"Thank you, mom." I smiled at her.

"No worries, dear." Mom stood up."The next time I'm doing all this for you will be on your wedding day."

"Wedding day?" I asked."I haven't even finished college."

"I know." Mom said."But eventually that day will come."

"Then..who do you think I'll marry?" I asked.

"Jake of course! Who else?" Mom said."Come on, Jake will be here any minute."

I stood up and walked out of the room. My hair was tied up in a bun and I was wearing the dress Samantha bought for me.

Everybody wanted me to be with Jake. They even dreamt of us getting married. Maybe Austin and I were never meant to be. Besides, I don't want to disappoint Mom or Alexia.

I went out to the garden while I waited for Jake to come. I looked up at the sky as it as it was beginning to have shades of red at the clouds.

"Hey beautiful." Jake called out as he got out of the car.

"Hey Jake." I smiled.

Jake placed his arms around me and gave me a kiss on the forehead."Come on, Let's go."

I got into the car and off we went.

The ballroom was huge with a gigantic chandelier right at the top. The decorations were so grand such that it made me question the wealth of the Allens.
I held Jake's hand tightly when we walked in. People were greeting us with smiles as we walked passed them.

"There's Austin." Jake pointed out.

Austin. My heart stopped when I heard his name. Slowly, I turned to look at Austin.

He was stunning.

His hair was nicely gelled up. I could see his face so clearly without his usual fringe that covered his forehead.

His eyebrows were so defined in a manly way though. His green eyes shimmered under the lights. He had a black tie around his neck but it was let off a little loose.

But he wasn't the only one that stood before us.

A girl held on to his arm. Her hair was blond with highlights of brown. Her eyes were blue and her lips were in a light pink which matched her blush.

She wore heels which made her seem taller than me. Her skirt was shorter than mine. She had a kind of confidence that most people didn't have. Well...her looks were not average too.

"This is Jemma." Jake introduced."Well..they're dating right now. Austin and Jemma."

"Hi." Jemma smiled."I'm Jemma, you are?"

"I'm Jayne." I replied."Great meeting you."

"Same here." Jemma said."You look really beautiful."

With that, Jake pulled me in and kissed me on the cheek."Yes, she is."

My eyes moved to Austin. He was quiet and obviously avoiding my gaze.

"Let's sit down at our table." Jake said.

Jemma nodded and Austin led her there while I followed Jake.

He was already dating someone else? Has he really moved on?

I sat beside Jake and greeted Alexia and Terence as I eyed Jemma and Austin.

Jemma laughing with Austin smiling a slight smile at her.

Slight? That word makes me relieved.

And so the wedding ceremony continued. The bride came in to meet the groom. The joy on her face cannot be denied.

She looked beautiful adorned with a white veil. Her dress was covered with small pieces of diamonds. Her smile outshone the diamonds as she walked down the aisle with her father by her side.

I'll never be able to do that. My father is not here anymore. He's gone.

A sense of sorrow came over me. But I kept my eyes on the joy that overflowed from the smiles of everyone especially the bride and the groom.

"There'll be a dance later." Jake whispered in my ear."Dance with me."

I nodded with a smile.

The time passed quickly as we had our dinner. I spent most of my time talking with Alexia and Jake. I didn't want to focus on anythint else.

"Ugh.." Jake groaned.

"Jake? Oh my gosh. Are you alright?" I asked him, concerned.

"Y-yeah..I need to head to the gents for awhile." Jake stood up and walked away.

Suddenly the ballroom was filled with music. Beautiful waltz music was played and slowly people gather at the center to dance.

It was a slow dance. Graceful and elegant.

Terence turned to Alexia asking for a dance and off they went. I smiled at them as they left.

I sat there quietly as I watched the people dance. Among them were the bride and the groom.

"May I have this dance?" A familiar voice that I yearned for finally was heard.

Austin reached out his hand. He stood before me with a really really slight smile.

I wanted to ask him where Jemma was but the moment his eyes met mine I forgot all about it.

Nodding, I took his hand and he led me to the center.

My face was turning red and heating up as he placed his hand on my waist and the other holding on to my hand.

My steps followed his and my eyes were locked to his the entire time.

He pulled me in closer to him."You looked really beautiful."

My heart fluttered when he said that. It brought me back to the first time he told me that.

"Erm..Austin?" Jemma stood between us.

Seeing her, I pulled away from Austin."Jemma..erm...." I didn't know what to say. I just turned away and walked off.

I walked briskly towards the ladies to wash my face. I needed something to "wake" me up.

"Jayne!" Austin ran after me and grabbed my hand.

"Let go." I told him though I wanted that dance we had to last forever.

"Why are you doing this to me?" He excliamed." I tried forgetting you..don't you understand?"

I turned around and tears filled my eyes.
"What about me? What do you think I went through?"

But that was then I realized not only Jemma was there listening but Jake was too.

"What's all this about?" Jake came between Austin and me.

"I love Jayne." Austin stated." And I want her." He grabbed me and held me tightly.

My eyes widened. Sudden fear filled me as I looked at Austin and then to Jake.

Jemma stared in horror as she stood there unable to comprehend what Austin said.

Jake stayed silent though I could see rage from his eyes.

"Only her." Austin challenged.
