Chapter 2

"So when's the date?" Samantha asked.

"Date? I'm not sure. He hasn't ask me out on one yet." I said, still writing out my science report.

"What? He hasn't asked you yet?" Samantha stood up.

"Hey. Calm down gal. It's alright. Let's take this slowly." I looked up to her.

"But it has been a week! A week since you guys got together."

"Uh huh. And?"

"And you guys haven't gone out on a date."

"It's alright." I say.

Samantha. She has quite a bit of temper. But other than that she's really sweet.

"Hey guys. Have you seen my file?" Clare walked up to us.

"Yeah. It's right here." I passed the file to her.

"Thanks."Clare smiled." What's with Samantha?"

"Don't mind her." I replied.

"Right. By the way, Jake asked to see you. He's by his locker." Clare continued.

"Oh alright. Thanks Clare." I stood up and walked out of the classroom.

To be honest, I wasn't really worried about Jake not asking me on a date yet.

I didn't feel insercue. So that shouldn't be a reason to worry.

"Jake." I called out when I caught sight of him.

"Jayne." Jake smiled." Still doing the science report?"

"Yeah I have to hand it up to Mdm Robertson." I sighed.

"So..for Christmas..." He continued.

"Yeah?"

"Could you come over to my place?"

"To your place? erm...like just the both of us?" I asked.

"Yeah..Of course..with my family. You'll get to meet them." Jake answered.

"Sure. That would be great." I hugged him."Can't wait."

"Cool. I'll pick you up at five." Jake hugged back.

"See ya. Gotta rush back to class." I pulled away.

"Bye." Jake smiled.

"So? What did Jake say?" Samantha asked.

"He wants me to come over to his place for christmas to meet his family and stuff." I sat down on my chair.

"Really? That's a huge step." Clare said.

"It's perfect. Get to know his family. That's how you should do it." Samantha grinned.

"I'm just nervous." I told them.

"Relax. Be yourself. They'll definitely like you." Samantha assured me.

"Yeah. By the way, I heard he has a younger brother so try and make friends with him. That'll make you and Jake closer." Clare added.

"Younger brother?" I turned to Clare.

"I didn't know he had a younger brother. How old is he?" Samantha asked.

"He's about sixteen. The same age as Henry. I think his name is Austin." Clare replied.

"Austin? That name sounds familiar. I think he's a friend of Henry." I say.

"Henry knows him? That's better! Make sure his family knows you well and you know them well." Samantha said.
