Chapter 10- Nurses Office

MINNIE

It was once again a school day. If you're wondering about Beomgyu, he stood over at my house for a little while. I walked over to my locker and then I felt it slam. Of course, I knew who it was. I clenched my jaw and said "Can I just have one normal school day?" Ruby leaned against the locker and shook her head no. "I don't think so, loser. How was your day yesterday?" I looked at her and said "It was just peachy. All glitter and rainbows. How was yours? The same?" She chuckled and said "Mine was actually better than yours. Anyways, I came here to do this." She slammed my face into the locker. Then she did it again.

Autumn came over and slammed Ruby's face into the locker a couple times and then pulled her away to look her straight in the face. "Now how does it feel to have the same treatment?" She gripped onto Ruby's hair tightly, and gave her a death stare. "I still wonder to this day why people like you exist. Ugly people like you that just want to ruin other people's days. You must not have a reason to live at home." She let go of Ruby's hair, and pushed her away. "Scram." She then looked at me and looked at the floor. I was bleeding from my nose, I looked down at the floor and saw the little spots of blood dripping down. Autumn said "Don't panic. Come on." She grabbed some tissues and covered my nose with them. She then lead me to the nurses office.

AUTUMN'S POV

"I'm going to kill that son of a Bitch. She really gave you a nose bleed! What's her problem?? I have to inform the teachers that you won't be arriving to their classes on time because of a stupid bully. It's still so shocking to me how they never take action." Minnie shook her head and I sighed. "I'm just glad I was there to stop her before things got worse..." Minnie nodded her head. "Your nose getting any better?" She nodded her head again and I said "Good. I'll inform a teacher that you have a nosebleed and you're in the nurses office getting it treated. I'll also tell them that someone needs to clean those blood stains. Do you need a fresh shirt? I can let you borrow one of my hoodies for the day. You can return it to me whenever you get the chance." I left to give her some alone time and to inform Beomgyu on what happened.

As I was walking, I heard some whispering so I stopped and hid behind a wall. Sounded like a guy talking on the phone.

"Yeah, don't worry. I'll handle it. I just need to get closer to her first. I'm sure I'll be able to handle this. It's not like it's my first time."

I whispered to myself "Who they heck can that be?" But before I can look to see who it is, they were already gone. I couldn't make out the voice. Mingi passed by me and I waved at him as he waved back.
I saw him take his phone out of his pocket to check it, and then answer it.

MINNIE'S POV

I stood in a chair, staring at the ground. Why does she always pick on me? What's her reason? Is it because I'm Asian? Is it because I'm not smart enough? Am I not good enough for this world? Am I just another waste of space? I've never truly been loved. My dad loves me, and my siblings do. But I wanna feel a love by my classmates, and a lover kind of love. A crush type of love. I wanna be as smart as everyone else. I wanna be good enough. I wanna FEEL like I'm good enough. I want confidence. I want to be happy. I want a normal life...

I turned to the door to see who came in and it's Beomgyu. Him? Why is Beomgyu here...? She informed him on what happened to me, didn't she? Beomgyu sat next to me. "Lemme see what happened." I removed the tissues. "You're good. There's no more blood coming out." I smiled at him and said "Thanks. I didn't know how much longer I would need to hold these tissues." He smiled and said "No problem. What happened to you? Was it a mean student?" I shook my head "More like a bully. It was Ruby." "Aish, I hate her...she purposely gave you a nosebleed, I'm guessing." I nodded my head "Yeah, she just loves to cause me pain. She loves to make my life a living hell." Beomgyu sighed and wrapped an arm around me. He slowly laid my head down onto his shoulder, and I felt a comfort sensation take over my body.

Why was he doing this for me? Slowly making me lay my head on his shoulder? Was he just doing this to make me feel better? He looked down at me and smiled. "You can sleep, Minnie..." I took that as my time to shine, and I closed my eyes. "I'll protect you from that mean girl from now on, promise...that's a promise I can keep..." He slowly laid his head on my head, softly, making sure not to hurt me. I smiled and fell asleep.

BEOMGYU'S POV

She looked so cute while sleeping. To be honest, I've had the biggest crush on her since we were little. She was my best friend and one of my only friends. She played with me, and her parents always said that I was one of the only kids she would be willing to play with. She usually turns everyone else down. It's sad to see how much she grew...it seems like yesterday, we were still playing in the sand box and hiding from each other so we wouldn't lose the game of hide and seek. The snacks we would eat together and the cartoons we shared the same interests in. I tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, and she shuffled in her sleep a little. I chuckles and whispered "So cute...where did all the time go...? Why did we have to separate...I never wanted to leave you, I'm sorry...I'm sorry that we had to be born in this kind of life..."
