Standing in the elevator Bucky kept his eyes on Evelyn. He continued to be more and more impressed with her since they met and he couldn't remember ever feeling this way even before everything when Steve and him were sharing an apartment. She smiled and laughed even though her eyes showed certain movements hurt her. He didn't think she understood how impressed she should be with herself.

"I still can't believe Bucky tapped out," Sam said as he got off on his floor

"Sam, you tapped out too," Steve said laughing

"Yeah, but I'm not at my best today. Don't forget our rematch Rocky," Sam said smiling at them as the door shut.

"I will buy you a lifetime supply of ice cream if you take him again," Bucky said looking at Evelyn

"He has no chance now," Evelyn said laughing "I don't lose when there is a prize."

"You weren't kidding about being competitive," Steve said grinning

"Oh no. I think it borders along the line of a problem to be honest," Evelyn said smiling at him

"Steve, can you help me make sure Wanda's room is all ready for her when she gets back?" Natasha asked when they got to her floor.

"Of course, but shouldn't it be just like she left it?" Steve said, raising an eyebrow at her when they stepped off the elevator.

"Just shut up and come with me," Natasha said in a whisper grabbing his arm.

Evelyn raised an eyebrow at them and looked at Bucky who just shrugged. She leaned her head against the back wall of the elevator and started to chew on her bottom lip again thinking.

"You okay?" Bucky said looking at her wondering what she could be thinking.

"Yeah, I'm good. Just ready to take a shower and hopefully regain full use of my limbs," Evelyn said smiling as they got to their floor.

Bucky walked with her down the hallway towards their room trying to think of what to say. He never had issues talking to women before. Then as they got to her room and she smiled as she was about to go in he grabbed her hand gently, "If you need to talk about anything I wanted to let you know I'm here."

Evelyn looked down at his hand and then into his eyes. He was so sincere and her heart swelled at the kind gesture. "Thank you Bucky. I will remember that." After giving his hand a gentle squeeze she went into her room leaned against her door trying to calm her heart.

After taking a shower Evelyn decided to change into a pair of skinny jeans and oversized sweater that hung off her shoulder. She had no clue what to expect from her training with Wanda but wanted to make a good impression. Her nerves were going crazy so she sat down at the keyboard and tried to distract her brain that was going a million miles a minute. She wanted to surprise Roy with a song when she visited.

As she gently hit the keys she heard a knock on the door and got up to grab it. There standing in a dark blue long sleeve shirt and jeans was Bucky holding a pint of ice cream and two spoons smiling at her.

"You said this would make you feel better," he said, holding them out to her.

Evelyn smiled at him widely, "would you like to come in?"

Bucky started to step slowly into Evelyn's room and looked around. He walked over to her vanity and saw the cards from the flowers everyone had sent but he noticed his card had dried daisies stuck to it. He looked into the mirror and saw that Evelyn was blushing and biting her lip.

"You kept everyone's cards?" Bucky said turning to look at her

"Of course I did," Evelyn said looking down at her hands. "I've never received flowers before."
