"Who's that thot and why did she called herself the girl you will marry?!" Rio demanded, looking very panicked. Karma raised a brow at that, but reasoned that Nakamura was his friend and that she's just caring.

"Karma-kun, what's going on with you recently? Are we missing something?" Nagisa gently asked.

"You're getting married?! Aren't you like...fifteen?" Maehara scratched his head. "I thought you and Asano had a thing for each other..."

Itona was quietly waiting for Karma to explain. Though, part of him felt Karma might leave out some details, after all during his time observing Karma--The red head wasn't the only one he observed okay? He observed all of E-class! It's not Itona's fault Karma caught his attention more-- he found that, aside from wearing a mask to cover his true emotions

The red head had a habit of hiding his hands in his pockets whenever he lied. So the whole time Itona kept his eyes trained on Karma's hands to make sure he won't lie to them. It was his way of showing he cared.

Karma was uncomfortable with his friends invading his personal space, circling him. He hated it, turning his head side to side meeting different eyes and seeing different emotions in them.

It didn't sit well with Karma how meddlesome and pushy they were being. He should be grateful right? That his friends cared? He should be happy that they cared for him enough to ask personal questions that he'd much rather be avoiding.

But he wasn't grateful. The concern, the care that his friends were showing only served to annoy him. Only served to make him suspicious, only served to scare him.

His walls were crumbling, his lines were erasing. The shields he surrounded himself with were being removed one by one and he would soon be left open and vulnerable. "Hey" Nagisa gently poked him, but it was enough to make Karma almost jump. "What?" He snapped at his best friend.

"Are you okay Karma-kun?" Nagisa sounded genuinely worried. "You're pale"

Karma gave a humorless laugh. "I'm fine" he faked a wide smile. That smile never failed to fool anyone before but now it failed him, his concerned friends looked at each other warily, before looking at him again. "Wipe those looks from your faces" he thought desperately. "Why are you looking at me like that?"

"Sooo, anyway" Rio snapped her fingers. "That girl, Nadia right? She said she's your fiancé and was really touchy with you" the blonde began delicately. "What's...going on with that?"

"Yea Karma-kun, is something wrong?" Nagisa smiled at him.

"My parents arranged for me and her to be married in ten years" Karma said in a deadpan voice.

"Why?" Nagisa voiced.

"For business" Karma said.

Itona saw that Karma's one hand was in his pocket, while the other was hanging free. Half a lie, not the full story. "Why can't he just be honest about his emotions for once" Itona thought. "Why does he have to fake everything. Fake smile, fake carefree attitude, it pisses me off so much" but why is he so open with Asano? It wasn't fair.

"Guys" the red head suddenly chuckled. "It's no big deal. I have ten years, that's plenty of time to find a way to break the engagement" also plenty of time to find a different way to save his family's company from bankruptcy but they didn't need to know that. "Gakushū and I are together now, I don't wanna think about my engagement with Nadia when I could be thinking about a date with my new boyfriend"

That seemed to had gotten them off his back, because they were all back to teasing him with his newfound relationship.

(Author: As you may have notice here. Karma has issues with trust, as seen how I wrote him to have walls and shields and lines all around him. And the fact that all of that are slowly crumbling, erasing and disappearing really scares him)
