Mark eagerly looked out the window and the clouds. And to all of our surprise, the plane didn't affect our motion sickness. Travis, however, stayed as far away from the window as he could.
"What's wrong, Travis?" I asked him.
"I don't like wind..." Travis complained.
"You're crazy! You should totally come skydiving with me!" Mark said cheerfully.
"No. No. No. Not happening."
"I think yes,"
"I think no,"
"Yes!"
"Go jump off another cliff, Mark!"
"You jumped too!"
"Siv pushed me!"
"You guys stop fighting, or I'll make you!" I shouted.
"Sorry," Mark and Travis said in unison.
"Good,"
The plane was quiet now. I could easily concentrate on the quest. We had to find a golden ring... somewhere cold... in the east... Where could we be going? There aren't many options.
Then something weird happened. The sky outside began to glow, but not any of the normal passengers seemed to notice. Mark did see, I could tell. He was as confused as I was. So was Latona, who had glanced out the window while converting Travis. Travis didn't even look. But now I could tell what it was. The pilot was speeding up the trip. The plane was about to travel through a wormhole.
When the sky faded back to blue, we were in Maine, already landed. Not a single person (other than my friends) seemed phased. The pilot went on the speaker and told us to get off the plane, and we did.
The airport was much larger than the last one. The floors were polished. The walls were clean. There were many planes visible. And lots of people too. Before we knew it, we were lost in the crowd, only staying together by grabbing onto each other. We made out way to the exit, and left. We still didn't know where to go.
Outside, it was very windy. The wind was blowing from the east, and it was continually knocking Travis to the ground.
"You okay?" I asked him.
"I'm not sure..." he said.
"How?"
"I don't know!"
"Would you like me to heal you?" Latona asked.
Travis nodded.
It seemed that Travis liked being around Latona.
"Isabelle, I think we should follow the wind," Mark said.
"Why?" I asked
"If you think about it, this quest has a lot to do with the east, so we might find what we're looking for if we go that way,"
"Good idea. We might just find that one other demigod there too. Alright, Travis, Latona, we're going east!"
As we walked, we had to hold onto Travis before he blew away. The wind seemed to be pelting him more than the rest of us. And at the same time, it didn't look to affect Mark at all.
We walked east for quite a while. We continued walking until we reached a forest. Little did we know, inside that forest was the exact place we were meant to go. There was a small camp in the middle of it. We decided to go inside to see if anyone was there.
Inside the camp were three little cabins, a picnic table, and a few other small buildings. Waiting for us inside was a boy.
"Hello! You must be the demigods I was supposed to meet here!" the boy said.
"Who are you?" Mark asked.
"My name is Cole Adkins and..." the boy was talking, but two other boys interrupted him.
One of the boys was chasing the other. "EVEN NUMBERS ARE BETTER THAN ODD NUMBERS! TWO, FOUR, SIX, EIGHT! WHO DO WE APPRECIATE?! EVEN NUMBERS! EVEN NUMBERS! EVEN NUMBERS I AM COMING FOR YOU TOMMY!" he screamed at the top of his lungs.
