We Take A Leisurely Walk From Maine To Oklahoma

It's been a few weeks since we left the math camp. At the moment, we're in Arkansas. We're so close to Oklahoma that I can see it.
"It's been a while since I've been here..." I sighed.
"Ya," Latona said.
"I'm sorry, where are we?" Mark asked.
"Are you stupid?" I asked.
"I just asked a question..." he frowned.
"We're in Oklahoma now," Latonta explained.
"Didn't you guys used to live here?" Mark asked.
"No dip, Mark," Sandy said.
The second we walked into the state, I could tell something was off. There were posters hanging all over the place. Two kinds of them to be exact. One with my own face and name, and the word 'MISSING' on the top. The other one was similar, but it had Latona's face and name instead. Just like in New York. This was my father's doing. He was always very overprotective of me and Latona. Since Latona was at our house almost more than her own, my dad started claiming responsibility over her, like she was his own daughter. And you'll never guess who I found putting up more of these posters.
"Isabelle, look who it is," Latona said.
Not too far down the road, was my father.
"We can't let him see us," she said.
I nodded and lead the group quickly, but quietly, passed him. We took a sharp turn and went out of his field of vision.
"We're going to stop by my house to grab a few things," I said.
We made our way down the road that my house was on. I opened the door, which was always conveniently unlocked, and into the living room.
"It's good to be home," Latona laughed.
"Wait, I thought this was Isabelle's house..." Mark said in confusion.
"It is. Latona was just over here so much that it seemed she was here more than at her own house," I explained.
"Oh,"
I walked over to the small table by the doorway. On it, was a small box. I picked the box up and opened it. The contents were simple. A silver chain with a gold coin attached to it. It was the necklace that Ivory left for me when I was born. I never got to see her until now, so I never really understood who it was from. But now, I didn't want to leave it behind.
"Isn't that the necklace you used to wear all the time in elementary school?" Latona asked.
It's good to see that she recognized it.
"Yup. Dad said that my mother gave it to me, even though I didn't know who she was. But now, I do," I said, turning the necklace in my hand.
"Your mom sure does like jewelry, doesn't she?" Mark sighed.
I nodded. I've only ever seen her once, but all she's ever given me was jewelry.
"Isabelle, do think that your dad knew who she was?" Latona asked.
"I'm not sure, but I don't think it's the best idea to ask..." I said.
I honestly didn't know what my dad would say. Obviously he knew her, but I had no idea if he knew that she was a goddess. And even if I did tell him, he probably wouldn't believe me. Then I heard a noise. It was a door.
"We need to get out of here!" I said.
I tried to lead my friends to the other door, but it was too late. There was someone standing at the end of the hallway. It was my dad.
