When we got into the forest, a storm picked up. The place went for smoldering to soaking wet in a matter of seconds. The winds picked up quickly, coming from dew east. And, to no one's surprise, it pushed mostly on Travis. It knocked him off his feet. Latona grabbed his arm.
"I got you Travis!" Latona yelled.
Then the wind got stronger, and whisked them both away. Mark grabbed my arm too.
"I got you," he said.
But I didn't care. I was more concerned about Latona. She just blew away in the wind.
"LATONA!" I screamed.
No response.
"Isabelle, she's not here. We'll find her and Travis once the storm clears," Mark tried to comfort me.
"Sandy's not here either!" I said.
Mark dragged me to a small cave near by.
"We'll stay in here until the storm stops. And then I promise we'll go an find our friends," he said.
"Okay..." I sighed.ONE HOUR LATER...
The wind had finally died down. The forest brightened quickly, but heated up just as fast. Mark and I were alone in a small cave.
"Can we go and look for our friends now?" I asked. I was very worried about Latona. Sandy and Travis too. I didn't know what happened to them. All I knew was that they were gone and it was my responsibility to find them and make sure they were safe.
"Yes. We can go now," Mark said.
I grabbed Mark's hand before he could stand. I practically dragged him with me.
The forest was like a maze now. Some small trees had fallen. Everything was muddy and wet. Leaves not coated any traces of a path. We entered a clearing, and saw someone. It was Sandy!
"Sandy!" I yelled, running to her. She was lying on the wet grass, clearly in pain.
"Are you okay?" Mark asked.
Sandy looked at me.
"Just help me up," she sighed.
I stuck my hand out and Sandy used to to prop herself up.
"We need to find Travis and Latona. I can't figure out where they went!" I said.
"What way was the wind blowing?" Sandy asked.
"East, I think..." Mark said.
"Then go east. The storm must have blown them that way," Sandy explained.
Then I heard something. I sounded like... screaming... coming from the east.
"Latona!" I yelled. Now I was worried. This must have been what my dream meant. Latona was being chased by something. And it must be bad. Latona never screams like that, but I could tell it was her.
I left Mark and Sandy to go after my friend.
"I'm coming Latona!" I yelled.
The screams got louder.
And louder.
And even louder.
It rang in my ears like a siren.
"ISABELLE!" I heard Latona scream my name.
"I'm coming Latona!" I yelled again.
The screaming was to my left. I switched directions and kept running.
Then I found her. I saw Latona ran right past me, yelling at me to follow her. So I did.
"What's wrong?" I asked.
"That thing behind us. I think it's another Itsumade!" Latona cried.
"Again?"
"I guess..."
"Follow me. I'll lead you back to Sandy. She knows how to take care of these things," I suggested. "Wait... Where's Travis?"
"He was right behind me before... Then he fell and rolled down a hill back there,"
"We should get him first..."
"Ya..."
