"So what did you want to talk about Gandalf?" Thorin leaned against the wall and everyone sat at the table.
"Due to word getting around that we have a dragon lord among us, people are after Nex to take advantage of her gift..."
I cut Gandalf off. "Hold on just a second." I stood up from my seat. "For one, I have no damn idea what a dragon lord is and now, I have people coming after me because of it?!"
Gandalf sighed. "A dragon lord is someone who can communicate with dragons and possibly even command them if the dragon agrees to or chooses the alliance. Almost like how elves speak to animals to calm them down and such but a bit more. Controlling."
"But Smaug was the last dragon that existed," Ori responded. Sounding a bit nervous.
"How many dragon lords have existed?" My voice almost cracked when asking. I was getting scared.
"You're the fourth one to have ever existed," Gandalf replied.
Balin spoke up. "The bloodline of dragon lords skip many, many generations at a time. It's pretty much impossible to know when one comes into Middle Earth."
"So how did everyone know about me?" Everyone went silent when I asked that. I looked at Gandalf.
"Sauron," Gandalf said. "He's the one behind all of the orcs and dark forces that are spreading across Middle Earth."
"Then why hasn't he already tried to take over Middle Earth?" Thorin started to sound annoyed.
"Because he wants to be prepared to wipe it out in one go." Gandalf looked at me. I knew he meant Sauron wanted to use me to command dragons and help him wipe out Middle Earth. "We will also need to evacuate Dale and Erebor.."
"I will not leave this mountain!" When Thorin got upset it made me jump.
Balin spoke up. "Thorin. Gandalf is right. If they know that Nex is here then they probably have groups in different areas surrounding the mountain. Our best bet is to get everyone out."
"Where will they go?" Kili asked.
"The dwarves of Moria have offered their aid."
"And what about us." My eyes started stinging but I kept my composure.
"You will stay here. It'll give us the best advantage to help get everyone out because none of the orcs will attack unless it's just you." Gandalf looked at all of us. Thorin still seemed upset.
"Moria will take at least three days.." Gloin said.
"Not, if you start to move them out just before sunrise. Bilbo here will also be staying with you." Gandalf grinned at him. "Now. Go to tell the rest of Erebor to pack what they need and to get some rest. I'm going to go warn the City of Dale."
Everyone got up and started to exit the room. I darted past everyone and when I got to my room I shut my doors. I sank to the floor and leaned my back against my bed. My throat started to hurt and tears started falling.
My door squeaked a bit and when I looked it was Thorin. "you could've knocked." I tried to sound as sarcastic as possible.
Thorin knelt in front of me. "Why are you upset?" He reached over and wiped some of the tears away. I didn't bother trying to calm down.
"If I had the gift of foresight like Elrond and saw all this I wouldn't have come. This isn't the life I expected." Thorin seemed a bit hurt by my words but it's hard to contain what you're saying when you're having a breakdown.
"Are you not happy being here?" He sounded hurt.
"Why wouldn't I be? Erebor is massive and gorgeous. The lands outside of it are beautiful and peaceful." I took a breath. "It's just everything that's happening right now. First I get most of my body broken, Thranduil tried taking me from you, I find out I'm some..dragon..lady and now the Dark Lord himself is trying to take me because of it." I noticed Thorin staring at me. "What?"
He cupped my face in his hands and looked at me. "I will not let anyone take you." He leaned in to kiss my forehead but I dodged it and hugged him instead. "And you have a way of saying things without being so straightforward."
I knew what he meant. "No thanks to Kili." Thorin chuckled. We broke the hug and he looked at me one last time before leaving my room and checking the rest of Erebor.
