Bilbo stayed in my room the rest of the night and we talked about our adventures. For him he told me things about the journey to take back Erebor that I haven't heard before.

"Oh my." Bilbo said. Sounding like he just realized something.

"What?"

"We missed breakfast." Bilbo looked at me and we were both like crap. We both got up and ran to the room where we would eat.

Everyone else was still in there and once we entered me and Bilbo stopped and took deep breathes. "I might need to sleep after this." I looked at Bilbo and we laughed.

"Sleep in late lads?" Balin looked at us.

I shook my head. "No." I was still breathing heavy. "We just stayed up all night talking." Me and Bilbo went to sit down and Balin gave me a smirk as I did. Kili and Fili gave us our food. "Thanks." I didn't notice Thorin was standing over in the corner. It looked he was thinking. "Is he okay?" I whispered to everyone.

Kili and Fili started giggling and Dwalin got mad. "It's not something to be joking about." Kili and Fili immediately stopped.

Balin sighed. "He's just thinking about how he's going to bring up something to you."

I covered my mouth when I spoke because I found it inappropriate to speak with food in. "You sound like that's a bad thing."

"No lass." Balin grinned at me for a second. "We don't know what it's about but he said it was something personal."

I nodded and went back to eating. Oh boy. That could mean a lot of things.

Right after me and Bilbo finished eating, me and him took our plates over to the counter. When I turned around I saw Thorin talking to Balin. Balin looked at everyone else, including Bilbo, and they got up and left.

Thorin still looked like he was trying to compose himself. "Balin said you needed to talk to me?" I stood there with my arms crossed and Thorin walked over. He reached hand in his pocket and held out the Arkenstone for me to take it. "Thanks." I smiled at him when I took it to show him I appreciated his willingness to get rid of it.

He looked like he wasn't ready to say anything else so I went to walk off but he laid his hand on my wrist. "I need to ask you something." I turned to him and looked confused. He turned my hand over and laid a ring on my palm. My eyes widened. My body froze. "If you don't want to I understand."

I shook my head. "No. No that's not it. I just wasn't expecting this." My eyes wouldn't leave the ring.

"I'm guessing you have questions." Thorin said grinning.

"Yeah, I do." I chuckled and scratched my head. "Why now?" He seemed like he didn't know how to put his thoughts into words. "Y'know what. Never mind. Next one, um." I laughed. "Did you get Elrond's approval before asking?"

Thorin laughed. "No."

"Well. I do have one condition." He gave me the what is it? face. "Nothing will be or done, until all of this is over."

"You don't want anyone to know?" He looked at me grinning.

"Okay, well. Just Gandalf, Bilbo, and the rest of the company. No one else."

"I promise." He put his hand on my face and looked at me. "Now. We need to get rid of the Arkenstone whenever you're ready to leave."

The Arkenstone was in my pocket and I put my hand on it. I looked up at Thorin. "I'm ready."

He nodded. "I'll go tell the others." I watched him walk out and I finally breathed. The ring still rested in my hand and the Arkenstone in my pocket. I walked back to my room and got my things together and then waited by the gait for everyone else.

I looked up to see everyone arriving. "Are you sure you're ready lass?" Balin said when he got up to me.

"Yeah." He nodded and padded my arm and continued to walk out. "Hey Balin. Where's Bofur?" I looked at him and then back at the halls.

"Probably drank too much." Kili said. Him and Fili laughed.

"It's happened before. He'll come." Dwalin looked at me as he walked by.

I continued to wait by the gait. Hoping to see Bofur running and his hat flopping. A sword showed out of the corner of my eye. "What's this?" My eyes looked at Thorin and back at the sword.

"I want you to have it." I looked back him and took the sword. "Orcist. The Goblin Clever. Thought you would have use for it."

"Thanks." We smiled at each other.

"I'm up!" We looked and saw Bofur running towards us. I laughed and Thorin rolled his eyes and shook his head. When we were all outside and the gait closed, we started our journey North to the Grey Mountains.
