POV Ilya
Finally, today's trial session was over. Soon my friend Karim will be free even though I can't know for sure. I got out from the courthouse and took an online taxi to go back to mevrouw Sofia's house. When I arrived, I was standing on the sidewalk waiting for brother Lodewijk, mr. Wisnu and Mevrouw Sofia to come. A few minutes later, I saw a car coming and stopped then I saw brother Lodewijk opened the car's front passenger seat door, got out from the car and walked over to me. The two of us stood facing the street and there was little conversation between us.
"So, this will end soon, huh?" I asked.
"Hopefully, Insha Allah." he replied.
"Heheh." I laughed a little and made him ask.
"Why are you laughing?"
"Nothing, I just never thought we would get to this stage." I replied to him.
"Yes, I didn't expect it either." he said to me agreeing then he said something to me.
"You know Ilya? You're the only Russian that I know in my entire life and I never thought that you are the typical Russian who is often shown in action films that I thought that they were just stereotypes. Heheheh ..."
He laughed a little and I laughed too then replied to his statement.
"Hahahah, well you are also the stereotype of a lawyer who is good at talking and debating."
"When this is all over what do you want to do?" he asked me.
"When the campus is off, I want to go home, I miss my parents. What do you want to do when all of this is over?" I said answering the question then asked him back.
"I want to take a break from being a lawyer, maybe find another job and work in that job for a while." he said to me explaining.
"Hmmm." I replied to him then he called my name.
"Hey, Ilya."
"Yes?" I answered.
"I've never said thanks to you for your efforts to save me from the old house where I was held captive so I want to say thanks for that." he told me.
"You're welcome, brother Lodewijk, I've never said thank you to you too for your efforts to help my friend from being imprisoned so, thank you too brother Lodewijk." I said to him to say thank you.
"You're welcome." he answered.
After that short conversation, the two of us saw the car that mr. Wisnu used to drive came closer to the front of the gate then the car driver's seat door opened and mr. Wisnu walked to the gate to open the house's gate. We both waited for the car to enter then we stepped in and walked to the porch of the house and stood waiting for mr. Wisnu to finish parking the car.
After we finished parking the car, we saw mevrouw Sofia get out of the car and walked over to us and open the door of her house and when the door was open she asked us to go inside.
"Come in." she said to us with a smile.
"Yes, mevrouw." I answered.
The two of us walked inside, brother Lodewijk immediately walked upstairs back to his room while I sat for a moment on the living room chair then Mevrouw came over to me and called me.
"Brother Ilya?"
I immediately stood up then answered her call.
"Yes?"
"Is brother Lodewijk already gone to his room?" she asked.
"Yes." I answered.
"I actually want to say this in person but maybe to you first. I just want to say thank you for wanting to help sinjo Karim being freed from his imprisonment." she said to me saying her thanks.
