POV Lodewijk
I along with the girl whose twin I just killed finally arrived back at the wooden house. I walked behind the girl holding tight the dagger I used to kill her twin. The reason I walked behind her while holding tightly the dagger that was stained with her twin's blood was to be cautious, just in case if she tried to attack me because I never know when she will become a danger to my safety even though she hasn't shown any threat so far.
When I arrived, I saw Riri still lying unconscious on the ground so I asked the girl to check Riri's condition.
"Hey, you said you were sorry for all the crimes that you did before, then show me that you're really sorry by checking the condition of the girl who was lying unconscious there. Check if she's still breathing and has a pulse in her neck to check wether the vein in her neck still beating or not."
She immediately walked over to where Riri was lying and knelt down, checking her breath by bringing the index and middle fingers of her right hand close to Riri's nostrils and pressing the area of Riri's neck where her pulse was located with her two fingers. After that she laid the left side of her head on Riri's chest then returned to her original kneeling position and turned her head to my face.
"She's still alive, but she's still unconscious." she said to me.
"Do you know the reason why she hasn't woken up yet?" I asked her.
"Maybe she was injected with too much sedative compound." she answered my question.
I walked back a few steps then took the axe that her deceased twin sister had previously used when she fought me then put the dagger which is stained with her late twin's blood into the pocket of the parka jacket that I was wearing.
"Lift her and carry her to my car, you walk in front of me, I will give you the direction to get to where I parked my car from behind." I told her, giving her my orders.
Slowly, she rose to her feet and then lifted Riri's body with both of her hands and placed the front of Riri's body in a prone position on both of her shoulders and back while she drew Riri's right upper arm and both of Riri's thighs with her arms and hands and left, she then asked me to show me the direction towards my car.
"Come on, give me your direction."
"Start walking." I said asking her to walk and I followed her from behind leaving the wooden house area, directing her to where my car was parked.
After we got to where I parked my car, I took my car keys from my trouser pocket and unlocked the door. The girl whose twin I just killed opened the back door, lowered Riri's body and laid her on the back seat, closed the door and looked at me who was still watching her while holding the axe with both of my hands.
"Get in the car." I ordered her.
She immediately walked to the front door for the front passenger seat, opened it and closed it then I put the axe that I was holding in the trunk of the car then got into the driver's seat and started driving, leaving the foot of the mountain towards the nearest police station. Silence filled the car then, I heard her calling my name.
"Lodewijk Engels?"
"Yes?" I answered.
"Why didn't you want to kill me when I offered to kill me? I mean, you had plenty of chances to kill me earlier but why didn't you try to kill me?" she asked.
"Because you've given up, and so far you haven't become a threat to my safety so, that is the reason of why I'm not killing you." I replied, giving her my explanation.
"I'm a criminal you know." she said
"And I'm a lawyer." I replied.
"What do you mean?" she asked me.
