Chapter 37: Another Encounter

Y/N's POV

When the alarm woke me up, I could barely move. My legs and arms were very sore. It hurt just to grab my phone to turn off the alarm. On top of that, I had a massive headache. Despite that, I managed to pull myself out of bed.

I hobbled over to the closet and opened it. I just grabbed a random outfit and took it to the bathroom. I knew that I needed a shower. So, I stripped off the clothes I had on and hopped into the shower. It was relaxing feeling the hot water run down my body.

After the shower, I felt a little better. I dried off and got dressed and then brushed my teeth. I brushed my still damp hair before exiting the bathroom. I went back to my room and grabbed a hoodie from the closet and tied it around my waist for later. I grabbed my phone before making my way to the kitchen.

I made it to the kitchen and looked around for something to eat. I saw some fruit and decided on a fruit salad. While I was chopping up fruit, my thoughts drifted to what happened last night. I overexerted myself last night. I guess that's why I was so sore this morning. At least I got to sleep in a little today. Class doesn't start until 10AM, so I set the alarm to allow myself an extra hour of sleep.

I finished making my fruit salad and made my way to the couch. I sat down and turned on the TV. While I was eating, I texted Alicia.

Y/N: Can you pick me up today?

I watched the news and finished eating while I waited for a reply. Right as I finished, I got a reply from Alicia.

Alicia: I'll be there in about an hour.

I checked the time. 8:35AM. I took my empty plate to the sink and washed what I used for breakfast. I went back into my room. I decided to make sure I had all of my schoolwork completed.

I looked through my planner, my folders, and my notebooks. It looked like I had everything I needed finished. I decided to just mess around on my phone after that.

Before long, I got a text from Alicia saying that she was here. I grabbed everything I needed for school and put on my hoodie and headed out. I saw Alicia parked outside and made my way out to her. I climbed into her car and we were off.

I looked out the window on the way to school. I swear that I saw a person in a stained white hoodie standing in the shadows; their face hidden by their hood. I did a double take and looked back. Alicia gave me a quick curious glance. "Did you see something?"

I turned my attention back to her. "Remember when I told you about that creepy dude who chased me a few nights ago? The dude in the stained white hoodie? Well, I thought that I saw him just now."

I saw Alicia's eyes widen; her eyes still on the road. "Wait, really?! Are you sure?"

I replied. "I'm not sure. Maybe I'm just seeing things..."

Eventually, we made it to the school. We got out of the car and headed to class. We had a few minutes before class started and just sat there chatting until class started.

After all of my classes, Alicia gave me a ride back to my apartment. On the way back to my apartment, I got a call from the person who was fixing my car. They said that my car was fixed and that I could come get at any time. I told them that I'd be there soon. I told Alicia that my car was fixed and asked her to take me to the shop that my car was in.

Once I got there, I grabbed my stuff and got out of Alicia's car and thanked her before she left. I walked in and talked to the person who fixed my car. I paid and thanked them before I found my car. I got in and started it. It started without a problem. I smiled before driving myself home in my car.

I made it home and walked into my apartment. I knew that I needed to work later. I made myself a snack before getting ready for work. I grabbed my phone and headed out once again.

I made it to work without a problem. I worked until close again. As I was getting ready to close the cafe, I got a really weird feeling. I felt like I was being watched. I looked around and saw nothing unusual.

I finally had everything cleaned up and was ready to close the cafe. I flipped the sign on the window to 'closed' and made my way outside. I still had that weird feeling as I locked the door. I turned around and I saw the man in the stained white hoodie across the street. He was staring at me.

I stood there for a second in shock. I snapped out of my shock and quickly started to make my way over to my car. I saw the man start to walk across the street towards me. Oh, hell no! I quickly got into my car and started it.

When my car started, I saw the man start to run towards me. I quickly put my car in drive and made my way out of the parking lot. By the time I made it to the road, I saw the man stop chasing me. I sighed in relief. I made it back to the apartment building without any other problems.

When I walked into my apartment, I was ready to go to sleep, but I knew that I had an essay that I had to finish. I quickly found my bag and my computer. I grabbed the notebook that had the details of the essay written in it. I was determined to get the essay done quickly. It was the only thing between me and the bed.

About an hour passes and I finally finish the essay. I quickly save it and put everything away. I got ready for bed and plugged in my phone after checking to make sure an alarm was set. I crawled under the covers and got comfortable. It wasn't long before I could feel myself falling into a deep slumber.

I woke up to my alarm going off on my phone. I got up and grabbed my phone and turned off the alarm. I got an extra hour of sleep due to me not having to be in class until 10AM.  I stretched and made my way over to my closet. I grabbed some undergarments and a pair of jeans and a black shirt along with a hoodie. I headed to the bathroom and got dressed for the day and tied the hoodie around my waist.

I brushed my hair and teeth and flossed before walking out of the bathroom. I made my way to the kitchen to look for something to eat. I remembered that I bought bacon and made my way to the fridge and grabbed it. I grabbed a pan and some tongs for the bacon. I turned on the stove and started cooking my breakfast.

While cooking and listening to the satisfying sizzle of the bacon, I grabbed my phone and texted in the group chat.

Y/N: Hey, remember when I told you guys about that creepy guy in the white hoodie?

I set my phone down and got back to the cooking. I finished cooking breakfast and made my way over to the couch. I turned on the TV and watched the news as I ate. Before I could take my first bite of food, my phone went off. I checked my phone seeing that I got a couple of replies in the group chat.

Bella: The one who chased you? Yes.

Alicia: Yes, why do you ask?

I texted them back.

Y/N: I saw him again last night after work. I'll tell you guys about it later.

With that, I put down my phone and started digging into my breakfast. Nothing interesting was happening on the news. Just reports on how they are still looking for the missing people and such. I finished my breakfast and turned off the TV. I made my way over to the kitchen with my plate and washed the dishes.

After I was done cleaning up, I checked the time. 9:25AM. I decided that I should get going. I grabbed everything I needed for school and slipped on my hoodie before heading out. I hopped into my car and drove off towards school.

I made it to school and walked towards my classroom. I walked into the classroom and only saw a couple people there. It wasn't too surprising. I was there almost a half an hour early. I made my way over to my usual spot and sat down. I didn't even have time to put my earbuds in when Alicia came into the room and quickly made her way over to me.
