Chapter 47: Urgent Talk

Y/N's POV

Her words shocked me. How the hell did I manage to do something like that?! What if Slenderman asks me to do that again? I don't know how that happened. My thoughts were flying all over the place.

Alicia's words snapped me out of my thoughts. "You should get some more rest. You have to work later, don't you?"

I nodded. I made my way back to the bedroom and undid the messy bun. I made it back to my room and tossed myself onto my bed. I took the keys and my phone out of my pocket and put them back on the nightstand. With that, I closed my eyes and fell back into a deep slumber.

When I woke up again, I felt a lot better. There was still a slight ache in parts of my body, but it didn't bother me too much. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. 12:20PM. I was glad to catch up on lost sleep.

I decided to get up and get something to eat. I walked into the kitchen and looked over to see Alicia passed out on the couch. I let her sleep. I knew that it was pretty late for breakfast, but I was craving eggs. I went over to the fridge and grabbed the eggs and butter. I grabbed my pan and spatula and got to cooking.

While I was cooking, I got jumpscared by Alicia. "You're making some for me, too, right?" I heard her say from right behind me. I yelped and spun around and saw Alicia standing there. I didn't hear her get up.

"Don't scare me like that!" I gasped out.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to." Alicia apologized.

"It's fine. Just try not to do it again." I said.

I finished cooking eggs for the both of us. While we were eating, we just watched TV. There wasn't anything good on, so we mainly focused on our food. When I finished eating, I decided to check my email to see if my professors had emailed me back about what I had missed today. Luckily they did. Good, I won't fall behind.

I decided to use my time wisely and started on the schoolwork I had missed. I headed into my bedroom and started on it. I had a hard time focusing on it, so I turned on some music to help. I managed to get all of the work done in less than two hours.

After I was done with my work, I checked on Alicia. She was on the couch messing around on her phone. I doubted that she had even taken a look at the work she missed.

"Alicia, you might want to work on the schoolwork you missed." I suggested.

"Fine, I guess you're right. My phone charge is getting low, anyway. Did you work on your schoolwork?" Alicia asked.

"That's what I've been doing for the past two hours. I got all of mine done. Also, if you want, you can use my charger." I told her.

"Wow, you got it all done already? You work fast." Alicia said.

I went into my room and grabbed my computer and my phone charger and gave them to Alicia. She got started on her schoolwork. Meanwhile, I cleaned up the apartment a little bit since I didn't have anything else to do.

After a while of cleaning, I checked on Alicia. She was still working on her schoolwork. I decided to go back into my room and mess around on my phone.

Once it was around 3:30PM, I decided to get ready for work. I took a quick shower and got dressed. Before I left, I checked on Alicia. She was still working on schoolwork.

"Hey, do you want me to take you home before I go to work?" I asked.

She turned around and looked at me. "Yes, just give me a minute to finish something up."

I just stood there on my phone. It didn't take her long to finish up what she was doing. We were out of the door within five minutes.

We hopped into my car and drove off. On the way there, I gave her the number of the person who fixed up my car. She thanked me and we sat in silence for a couple of minutes.

When we were almost at the dorms, she spoke up. "I'm guessing that I can't tell Bella about anything I saw last night, right?"

"Yes. We can't let anyone know about any of that. I'm just happy that they decided to not harm you when you saw me use my powers. Are you doing alright? I'm sure it's still a bit hard to take in all that you saw last night."

"I'm still trying to process everything. When I first woke up this morning, I thought that it was all a dream. When I realized that I was in your apartment instead of my dorm, I realized that it wasn't. It's going to be hard not to tell Bella about any of this." Alicia said, looking down.

"It was hard for me to keep everything a secret from you and Bella. But now that you know about it, I at least have someone to talk to about it. You might not be able to talk to Bella about it, but you have me to talk to. Also, tell Bella that you are spending the night over at my place tomorrow night. I'll be going back to the mansion that night. If I remember correctly, you were asked to come in with me, right?" I asked.

"Yes, I'll be coming with you. Apparently, they want me to meet someone. Do you have any idea who it could be?" Alicia asked.

"I have no clue. In fact, the only ones I knew were all there last night." I responded.

Alicia sighed before speaking up again. "You know, all of this seems pretty scary, but it's also pretty cool. I mean, if an anime was made about all of this, I sure as hell would watch it!' Alicia exclaimed, smiling at the end.

I laughed. "I'd watch it with you."

I dropped her off at her dorm building and made my way to work.

Work was absolute hell. We were short staffed. Of course with my luck, it was super busy. There was no time for any breaks. At least I got to rest instead of going to class today. If I had gone to class today instead of getting rest, I would have definitely passed out halfway through my shift.

I had to close that night. I finished cleaning up the cafe before locking the door. I was ready to get back to my apartment and get some rest. I turned around and started to walk towards my car. That was until I saw a figure in a white hoodie standing by my car. Is that Jeff? What is he doing here?

I slowly walked closer towards the figure. He looked up. The wide smile cut into his face was enough to confirm that it was, in fact, Jeff standing by my car. I looked around and saw nobody else near us.

"Jeff, what are you doing here?" I asked.

"Slenderman wants to talk to you. He says it's pretty important." Jeff responded.

"It couldn't wait until tomorrow?" I asked.

"He says it's urgent. He sent me to fetch you." He said before turning around and walking away in the direction of the forest.

I followed him and kept spouting out questions. "Why does he need to talk to me? What does he need to talk about that involves me?"

"I don't know. All I do know is that you need to follow me. He seemed pretty serious when he told me to come get you. Now hurry up!" he said before walking faster.

I kept pace with him. Questions were running around my head. What is so urgent that concerns me? Does it have to do with what happened last night?

I kept my mouth shut for the walk to the mansion. We made it there and walked inside. Jeff guided me to The Slenderman's office. He knocked before letting himself in. "I brought her here, as promised." Jeff said.

"Thank you, Jeff. You may leave. Y/N, find a seat."

Jeff left as I sat down in one of the seats in front of his desk. "You needed to talk to me about something important?" I raised one of my eyebrows.

"Yes. I need you to see something." he said. He opened one of the drawers from his desk and took out what looked to be a very old book. It looked like it was barely holding itself together. The pages yellowed with age. He set it down on his desk and began flipping through pages. He seemed to find the page he was looking for. He turned the book towards me. I read the head of the first page.
