Y/N's POV

I had no trouble falling asleep that night. No nervous feelings or thoughts keeping me awake. I fell into a dreamless sleep. A small smile on my face as my mind registered Puppeteer wrapping his arms around me.

I woke up to the morning sun shining into my room. I had nothing planned for the day. So, that's exactly what I did. It was Sunday, so this was the last day I was free from power training, so I was going to use my last day to relax.

It seemed like the day went by in a flash. Before I knew it, the next day had arrived. I didn't know how to feel. Scared? Nervous? Anticipation? All of the above? All that I knew was that the training session was going to be anything but boring.

Classes went by agonizingly slow. I was dreading what was going to happen later on tonight. Each minute felt like a couple of hours. I tried to focus my mind on schoolwork to pull my thoughts away from the rising anxiety. But, it didn't work. I spent the rest of the day internally panicking.

Eventually, the time came where I would have to go. I was wearing leggings and a hoodie with a t-shirt underneath. I knew that at any moment, Puppeteer was going to come in through my window to tell us that it was time to go. I was pretty sure that Slenderman would want to have a talk with me before training. I just hope that he isn't too angry at me. Maybe he cooled down over the three months that I spent healing.

My thoughts were interrupted when I heard a noise come from the hallway. Knowing that it was probably Puppeteer, I stood up and stepped outside of my room. Like I suspected, I saw the window opening and Puppeteer making his way through. Clockwork and Alicia probably heard him, too, because I saw them making their way down the hallway towards us.

"Are you guys all ready to go?" he asked, sending the others a glance before keeping his eyes on me.

"As ready as I'll ever be, I suppose." I replied a bit meekly. The others just nodded.

"Alright, let's get going." he said before hopping back out of the window.

I closed the window before making my way to the door with Alicia and Clockwork. I took a deep breath before stepping outside of the apartment.

By the time we made it to the forest, I was shivering profusely. I should've worn a coat, it's February, so of course it's going to be well below freezing at night. I continue to internally scold myself when I hear something snapping a few meters behind me. It seems like the others must have heard it too. I mean, it wasn't very quiet. We all turned around to see what could've made that noise.

Damn it, not again!

Standing there, staring at us, was The Rake. I was already nervous enough to meet with Slenderman again, but having to deal with this thing again...

"Should we run?" I quietly asked.

Just then, The Rake let out a loud screech.

"Run." Clockwork said. We didn't hesitate to follow her command. Everyone ran in the direction of the mansion. Deep inside, we knew we weren't going to make it there before The Rake caught up to us.

While we were running, an idea struck me. I turned to Alicia, who was running beside me. "I'm gonna use my wind power to keep him back. I'll catch up with you afterwards."

Alicia looked at me like I was crazy. "What?! You're insane if you think I'm gonna let you do that. How are you going to catch up with us without getting caught by that thing?" she gestured back to The Rake with her head.

"I don't know. I'll think of a way. I still have my powers." I tried to reason with her.

"You aren't as strong as you were three months ago. Have you forgotten that you haven't used your powers since the fire? Not to mention, you haven't had the chance to train with your new powers." she scolded back.
