Y/N's POV

The story itself isn't what shocked me. It was just an update on the missing people. No one else has gone missing. The current missing people have yet to be found. In the background, I could see someone in a dirty white hoodie. The hood was hiding the face of the person.

Could that be the person that chased me the other night? I sat there wide eyed, just continuing to watch the man in the hoodie. Even in the daylight, the man looked unnerving. Soon, that story ended and I had finished my breakfast. I took my plate back to the kitchen and cleaned up.

I grabbed my phone seeing that I had gotten a message from both Alicia and Bella in the group chat I had with them. I had also checked the time. 6:45AM. It was then that I realized I had no car to drive myself to school. I didn't live too far from campus, but I also didn't exactly live close, either.

As the realization hit me, I rushed into my room and packed up everything I would need for school. I grabbed my bag, a sweatshirt, my phone along with earbuds and made my way out of the door. As I made my way down to the first floor of my apartment, I managed to put on my sweatshirt. I knew that it wasn't going to be warm today. I stepped outside and started my walk to school.

While I was walking, I checked the messages from the group chat.

Alicia: Hey, I missed a call from you. You ok?

Bella: You tried calling me, too. You good?

I responded

Y/N: Yes, I'm fine.

I almost immediately got a message back.

Alicia: Oh, ok. Why did you call? Did you need something?

Y/N: Well, at the time I did, but not anymore.

Bella: ???

Y/N: I'll tell you both about it later.

With that, I left the chat. I turned on some music and continued walking to school.

When I got to the school, I turned off the music and headed in. I made my way to class. When I entered, almost half of the class was there already. I made my way to my usual seat and sat down. Class wouldn't start for another fifteen minutes, so I plugged in my earbuds and listened to some more music.

When I saw Alicia walk in, I turned off my music and took out the earbuds. She made her way over to me and sat down. "Ok, so tell me what happened." she said, looking at me with anticipation.

"On Saturday, I had to work and ended up having to close the cafe. I made my way out to the car and tried to start it. It wasn't working, so I tried to see if I could spot the problem. When I couldn't, I tried to call you to see if you could pick me up. When you didn't answer, I called Bella only to see that she wouldn't pick up, either."

"I'm so sorry! I think my phone was charging in a different room or something. So, how did you get home? Did you have to walk?" She asked with a slightly worried expression.

"Yes, I had to walk home. I had my phone with me, so I played some music as I made my way back home. But, I felt like I was being followed, and I found out that some guy in a stained white hoodie had started to follow me when I was about halfway home. After a while of him following me, I ended up starting to run, with him running after me! I managed to get back to my apartment before he got me."

"That must've been so terrifying! If I had only picked up you wouldn't have to have gone through that. Again, I'm sorry Y/N!" Alicia said. She had tears forming in her eyes.

I tried to calm her down. "Alicia, it's ok. See, I'm fine. It's not your fault. I'm not blaming this on you or Bella."

Alicia nodded and started to calm down. Then, she called Bella and told her what happened. Right when the call ended, the bell rang. Class started and I turned my attention to the professor.

After class, I got a call from the guy who was fixing my car. He told me that it wasn't something too serious. He also told me that it shouldn't be more than a couple hundred bucks to fix it. He said that he'd call me when he had it fixed. I thanked him and ended the call.

Alicia had taken me home after school and I asked her if she could take me to work and if she or Bella could take me home after work. She said that it wouldn't be a problem and to give her a call when I needed to be picked up. She said that she'd have her phone on her this time. I thanked her and quickly got ready for work. When I came back out, I hopped into her car and she drove me to work.

A few minutes before I was done with work, I called her saying that she can come and pick me up. By the time I was finished with work, she was ready to take me home. When she dropped me off at my apartment, I thanked her and made my way up to my apartment.

When I walked through the door of my apartment, I made my way over to the fridge. I opened it up and saw a container of strawberries I had bought a few days ago. I grabbed them and went into my room. I worked on the schoolwork I was assigned that day while snacking on the strawberries. By the time I was done with the schoolwork, I noticed that there were only a couple of strawberries left. I finished them off and got rid of the container.

When I came back to my room, I checked the time on my phone. 10:35PM. I decided to get ready for bed. I put on some comfortable clothes before checking to make sure I had an alarm set on my phone. I jumped into bed and fell asleep.

I woke up to my alarm the next morning. I got up and turned off the alarm. I took a minute to appreciate the beautiful sunrise before I shot a message into the group chat.

Y/N: Can one of you guys give me a ride to school?

I set my phone down and grabbed an outfit for today along with a F/C hoodie. I got dressed and went into the bathroom and brushed my hair and teeth. I grabbed my phone and made my way to the kitchen.

For breakfast, I decided that an apple would suffice. With an apple in hand, I went over to the couch and turned on the news. The story of the missing people were on. Same news; no one else had gone missing. I watched and I thanked the lord that I didn't see the hooded man again.
