Y/N's POV

I kept fading in and out of consciousness. I didn't remember much about being stitched up. I couldn't stay awake for more than a few seconds at a time. I briefly remember seeing a face I didn't recognize. Not that I could see much of his face. He wore a face mask.

Once I was able to remain conscious for more than a few seconds, I tried to open my eyes. My eyelids felt heavy and my eyes felt dry. My eyelids clicked slightly as I blinked them open. I looked around briefly. I was back in my room.

I tried to sit up, but winced in pain before lying back down. It hurt to move. I looked out the window. It was still dark outside. I slowly reached for my phone to check the time. 4:15AM.

Despite the pain, I took the blanket off of my body. I looked down to see me in only my bra and some shorts. There were bandages wrapped around my torso. There were bandages covering my arms and legs as well. I shivered slightly and pulled the blanket back over me.

I tried again to sit up, but failed and groaned. I then realized how dry my throat was. I needed something to drink. I groaned again at not being able to get up.

I then heard footsteps coming closer to my bedroom. I saw the face of Puppeteer peek inside of the room. Once he saw that I was awake, a smile lit up his face. He let himself in. "You're finally awake!" he said brightly.

I looked at him confused. "Finally? It's 4AM, isn't it? It's only been a few hours." I said quietly. My throat was too dry for me to talk much louder than a whisper.

His smile faded. "Y/N, you've been out for over four days." he said.

I couldn't believe what I was hearing. "I was out for four days!?" I croaked out. I tried to sit up again, but miserably failed again.

Puppeteer noticed my struggle and helped me sit up. He had me lean against the wall behind my bed. He then gave me a bottle of water he was holding. I gratefully took it and downed over half of it in one go. While I was drinking my water, he explained. "After EJ and Dr. Smiley patched you up, they showed us how to change your bandages. We then brought you back to your apartment, where you slept for four days."

"Is that why my shirt is off? So it's easier to change my bandages?" I asked.

He responded. "Well, yes, but they had to take it off in order to properly stitch up your wounds. I'm glad Dr. Smiley got there when he did. If he didn't, you may not have made it." He said, looking down.

I nodded as he explained what happened. Not too long after, a thought hit me. "How is Alicia? Is she alright?" I asked.

"She's fine. All that she had were a few minor scrapes. She even informed your teachers that you were involved in an accident. She's been grabbing your schoolwork for you while you were out. She got into contact with your boss and told them that you wouldn't be in for a while. Also, she wanted me to tell you that she got her car fixed up." he said.

I was glad that she was alright. I made a mental note to thank her the next time I saw her. I finished off the bottle of water. I set the empty bottle on my bedside table.

"Oh, before I forget, I need to change your bandages." Puppeteer said as he left the room. He came back in moments later with a bunch of bandages and some alcohol wipes. "I'll do your arms first." he said as he came closer to me. He sat on the edge of the bed as he undid the bandages on my left arm.

I watched as he peeled the bandages off my arm. I'll admit, the creature really got me good. There were several gashes littering my arm. Most of them were on my forearm. I winced as he wiped an alcohol pad over the gashes on my arm.
