Madripoor was all bright lights and busy streets. Everyone looked like they were up to no good; I'm sure some were OK, but they didn't look it.

All the guys had guns attached to holsters on some part of their body. And the girls... yeah, they were dressed similar to me; shorts and heels. But I'm sure I should stay out of their way and not make friends.

James moved his hand on the base of my back and pushed me closer, "stay by me."

We walked through the crowds, people staring at the three of us, and over to a club. Sam stood tall and walked in front of the two of us, "ready to comply, Winter Soldier?" He said, looking at the crowds.

The people around started whispering. James stiffened next to me at the mention of his old name. I looked over and behind his eyes was panic.

"Hey." I stopped and placed my hand on his arm, "you OK?" He nodded and went to walk away, but I gripped tighter, "James? Don't lie to me."

James stopped and stared into my eyes. I understood why he was nervous; that name. He didn't want to be him any more and hated what he did while him. He was scared of what he may have to do while him.

"Just...stay close to me? Please?" his voice trembled. I nodded in response and smiled. His face softened into a smile too as he took my hand and held it behind him as he walked, and I followed closely behind.

Inside the club, we went straight up to the bar. People continued to stare and whisper as we walked through; news travels fast here. At the bar, Sam nodded to the bartender.

"Drinks?" he asked, looking at the three of us.

"Of course" Sam smirked and looked at me, "we're looking for Shelby?" The bartender nodded and walked away.

"This better lead somewhere." James whispered, looking around the club.

"What if it doesn't?" I asked, not looking directly at him.

"Then I'm out of ideas." he sighed and turned back to me. "We'll figure this out."

I looked towards James and smiled. He smiled back and looked me up and down, biting his lip. "I'm gonna need you to keep that outfit by the way."

"As long as you keep yours." I winked, smirking back.

"Hey." Sam whispered sternly behind me, "stay in character. I don't think I ever saw the Winter Soldier smirk."

"Maybe he hadn't met the right girl." James winked before holding back another smirk and looking away.

I felt a hot breath against my neck and a hand round my waist, "look at this. Haven't seen you around these parts before."

I tensed under the touch and tried to control my breathing, making sure I didn't give off that I was scared; I had a feeling the girls here could handle themselves if some guy was inappropriate. "Take your hand off me."

His hand moved from my hip and grabbed my ass, pushing up against me, "whatcha gonna do if I don't?"

I held my breath, Unsure what I was going to do. I didn't see the little look Sam gave James, telling him to stay in character. But James didn't care. Before I knew it, the guy was ripped away from me and thrown across the room.

I turned to see James going hand-to-hand with three other huge men. "We gotta do something." I whispered to Sam.

"We can't blow this. He's a super soldier assassin. Remember?"

I nodded and continued to watch. I'm not gonna lie.... it was pretty hot.

"At ease, soldier." Sam calmly said.

James let the guy go and stood back up straight. He looked deadpan, trying to not show any emotion, but I saw something flicker behind his eyes; he hated every minute of it. And I loved it.

"Selby will see you." The bartender was back behind us, taking me by surprise.

Sam nodded to him and led us away towards a door. I turned back to James before I followed, "you Ok?"

James nodded, grabbing my arm sternly with his metal hand and pulling me in the direction of Sam. It took me by surprise as I tried to keep up.

The door closed behind us and we walked down a hallway, following some bloke. James continued to pull me along as I struggled to keep up and stay on my feet, "what the hell James!?" I breathed out, trying to pull my arm out of his grip.

James stopped and threw me against the wall. Sam stopped and turned back to us, the bloke turning too. "If you're not careful little lady, he may have to do something." Sam said with a deadpan face. The bloke turned back round and started walking. Before Sam followed he smirked and winked at us.

We stayed put until the two were out of sight. James was looking me up and down, his chest heaving the longer he stood still. "What are you doing?" I breathed, unsure what was going to happen. Was the Winter Soldier really still inside him?

James pushed up against me, grabbing my hips and crashing his lips down on mine. I moaned into the kiss, James' hands stroked down my ass and grabbed my thighs, pulling me up and wrapping my legs around his waist. He broke the kiss and looked into my eyes, "what are you doing to me?" He panted, trying to catch his breath. "You think I didn't notice how you looked while I was knocking those guys out? How you bit your lip? Your eyes fixed on me." James kissed down my neck and back up to my ear, whispering, "how you pushed your thighs together? We're you imagining this moment right here?"

I nodded, unable to speak. My breathing heavier, raspier. My mouth dry, and feeling so turned on.

"We better catch up." James smirked kissing my lips one more time before dropping me. I wobbled a little, unable to hold myself up properly with how turned on I was. He made my whole body weak, begging to be touched again. He smirked and walked away. I mouthed "wow" before swallowing hard and following as carefully but quickly as I could.
