I brought a bucket of beers out and the three of us relaxed around the gardens, ending up on the Wilson's boat as the sun set.

"So, I take it you're staying again tonight?" Sam smirked at me, taking a sip of his beer.

"You're not getting rid of me that easy." I teased, finishing off my beer.

"I don't think I'm ever getting rid of you." Sam laughed

"Never. With you for life now."

Bucky sighed and stood up, "Well, I better get back to the hotel ..." he drowned the last of his beer and set it upside down back in the bucket so we knew which were the empty beers.

Sam laughed and shook his head, "I gotta put you up now?" He took his last sip and stood up too. "Fine. You can both squeeze on the couch."

"I don't want to put you out." Bucky said, but picked up another beer and smirked.

"Just don't do things on my couch." Sam warned walking off the boat, "or the boat!"

"No." Bucky shook his head but I smirked.

"No promises."

Sam left the boat, saying goodnight to both of us and Bucky sat back down next to me, looking out into the water to the sun setting.

"It's beautiful." I sighed, feeling at peace for once in the passed couple of months.

"Sure is."

I turned to look at Bucky but he was staring at me smirking. "I meant the sunset."

"I didn't." He laughed lightly, wrapping an arm around me and pulling me close. I fell into his chest, feeling safe and cared for. I hadn't felt like that for a long time.

"Right." I took in a deep breath and sat up, turning to face him and bending my leg over the wooden bench we were sat on so I was completely facing him, "20 questions." It was now or never....

"I have to guess what you're thinking?"Bucky questioned.

"No. I ask a question, you answer and then I answer it. Then you ask a question, I answer then you. And so on." I bit my lip, wanting to get to the bottom of us. "And it ends when both of us have asked 20 questions."

"Alright." Bucky smiled and popped open a couple more beers, passing me one. "I'll start." He took a sip, thinking, "OK. If you could have one person to dinner, living or dead, fictional or not, for one night, who would you choose? And not related!" He quickly added the lat bit, probably knowing I'd choose my grandpa.

"That's a good one." I thought about it for a few seconds, "Marilyn Monroe. She was smart and sexy. I bet she had some brilliant stories."

"That's a good one."

"What about you?"

"Gandalf." He shrugged, as if it was the most obvious answer.

"You absolute nerd." I laughed and Bucky smiled. I loved his smile and wish he smiled more. It never seemed like he wanted to even when he did. But this one looked so pure and fresh.

We continued to ask and answer questions as the sun set. The solar lights around the boat came on, a few lights from the docks lit up showing us the way back to Sam's as the moon rose.

"First kiss?" We had asked some random questions but I wanted to get down to it now.

"12" Bucky put simply.

"Slut." I laughed. "16."

"Prude." I faked hurt and punched his chest playfully.

"Your turn." I smiled, finishing off the last of the beer.

"OK...." Bucky thought hard for a few seconds, biting his lip. "How do you feel about me?" He mumbled the question a little, maybe hoping I didn't hear?

"Ooo, on to the deep questions now?" I teased

Bucky took a sip of his beer and shook his head, stuttering, "You don't have to answer..."

"I like you. Like, really like you." I quickly interrupted him. The beer going to my head slightly and making me a little more confident.

I get how weird it sounded; we had slept together a handful of times it must have been clear we liked each other. He's seen me naked, why should I be nervous? But what if that was all it was to him? I was just someone close by that he could have his fun with and then move on to the next? What if he didn't feel the same? These questions crossed my mind daily and I needed to know how he felt, but I really didn't want to ask.

"Good." He put simply and put his bottle in the bucket. Not saying either word as he looks at me and smiled, giving nothing away.

"Now you answer." I laughed nervously but tried to play it off.

"I like me too. I'm pretty awesome." He smirked and bit his lip.

"You ass." I laughed, punching him playfully in the chest again.

"That you like." He said in a sing song tone

"Oh shut up" I jumped up and wrapped my arms around him, pulling him closer and into a kiss.
