Chapter Thirteen

KAMINA

I put my back against the wall and breathed heavily... I ran my hands through my hair and sighed... Orochimaru... If he's here.... He might be after Sasuke... or me.

I breathed heavily once again as I thought of the possible things he could do if he were here... I'm scared.... really scared.

"Hey, are you alright?" I heard a familiar voice ask

I was still breathing heavily. "Yeah..... I'm fine, Kakashi-sensei" I said as I looked up to meet the concerned eyes of my sensei.

"You don't look like it" he said as he put his back against the wall beside me

"I'm fine... honestly." I said as I ran my hands through my hair once again.

Kamina, I might have known you for only a couple of weeks, but I know from the way you're acting that something is definitely wrong" sensei said making me look at the floor and avoid eye contact

"You can tell me, I'm your sensei after all" he said making me sigh.

"I can't and I'm not sure I can tell you what exactly the problem is but... Let's just say that a person I once trusted but used me for some weird experiment might possibly be near and it's making me... scared. Adding up to the fact that he... he... he" I stopped as tears started to drip from my eyes

"Kamina" sensei said as he put a hand on my shoulder in a comforting manner "You can stop if you want... You don't need to explain" he said

I wiped the tears off my cheeks with the back of my hand and sniffed. "No, it's fine" I said and Kakashi nodded for me to continue

"He... was the man who killed my clan" I said making Kakashi stare at me with wide eyes "I trusted him because he was the only thing I had left but... he used me for experiments and he placed a curse on me... A curse that I will forever regret having... He also gave me things that he calls 'gifts'. But they're not gifts! They are all a burden! I'm scared that he came here for me or worse! For someone else" I said as I continued to sob... My eyes are probably bloodshot by now.

"Kamina, who is this person you're talking about? Maybe we need to give you extra protection during this exam?" sensei offered

"No sensei, I'm not even sure if he is really here... There is just a slight possibility since his so called apprentice is here... But I can't tell you... For some reason, I feel like telling someone about this would only cause more chaos." I said... It's true, I want to tell Kakashi about Orochimaru but... something is stopping me... I don't know what.

"I understand... Tell you what, I'll be keeping an eye on you for some parts of the exam and if I see anyone trying to harm you, I'll go and protect you... How does that sound?" sensei asked and I smiled

"That sounds fine, sensei... Arigato" I said as I hugged him which made him a little shocked at first but he eventually hugged me back.

"Be safe, Kamina, and good luck" sensei said before I pulled back from the hug and gave him a smile
