Chapter Five

KAMINA

I sat at the far end corner of the room as the students in front of me chatted about themselves. Everyone in the room was busy with their own business and talking with another person, everyone except me…and Sasuke. The raven haired boy sat near the front with his hands together covering half of his face. His gaze was kept forward as the girls around him kept squealing and bothering his privacy. He must’ve sensed someone staring at him because he turned around and met my greenish-blue eyes. I blushed as I was caught red-handed while he just smirked at me as he turned back around. Hmph! Uchihas and their arrogance!

Suddenly, Iruka-sensei barged into the room with a clipboard on his left hand.

“When I call your names go to the next room to perform the clone jutsu” He said before exiting the room again. Oh yeah, today is the graduation exam.

Just then, I noticed a stressed out Naruto near me. He looked like he was about to murder someone or…himself.  I walked towards him and sat beside him.

“Yo, blondie. What’s the matter?” I asked

“I suck at the clone jutsu. I’ll probably fail.” He said

I stared intently at him before speaking. “Well, if you fail, then fine. Why not try again until you succeed? Ninjas don’t always win the battle. Sometimes, they have to try again to learn what mistakes they made the last time so they have an advantage the next time. If you fail, then I’ll train you so the next time you take the test, you’ll surely pass… You can do it, blondie” I said

Naruto looked at me with eyes wide with surprise and confusion. “Why?” he asked

“Why what?”

“Why are you so nice to me?” he questioned

I shrugged. “Why not?” I asked

He looked at me for a moment before shrugging. “I don’t know. It’s just that everyone never really talks to me the way you do” he said

“Well, they’re all idiots for not even acknowledging a strong shinobi like you.” I said which made his eyes widen even more.

“Y-you think I’m strong?”

“Hai! Why Naruto, don’t you think you’re strong?”

He smirked at me before giving me a thumbs up. “No way! I’m strong! And I’m gonna be Hokage one day. Believe it!” he exclaimed

I smiled at him. “Hokage huh? Then I’m sure you’ll graduate! I mean, a Hokage needs to graduate right?” I asked

“You bet!” he said

“Naruto Uzumaki!” I heard Iruka-sensei shout.

“Good luck” I told Naruto and he just gave me a salute before exiting the room.

I sighed before standing up and walking back to my seat. While sitting down, I noticed how irritated Sasuke looked as the girls around him kept on bickering about who Sasuke would want to sit with. Obviously, none of the above.

I stared and observed Sasuke for a little longer, this time I didn’t get noticed. He really did look like Itachi. I bet they were so close back when they were younger. That was until the incident. Now Sasuke wants to get revenge on Itachi. Oh Sasuke, if only you knew why Itachi did it. If only I could tell you. But I can’t.
