It was night time now as I sat on top of the roof and gazed up on the stars like I usually do. I felt another presence on the rooftop and I immediately knew who it was.

“What are you doing here again?” I asked with my eyes still on the stars.

I heard him chuckle a little bit before walking and sitting beside me. “I just thought that you needed company” he said.

“Hmm” was my only reply.

We silent for a moment before he finally asked me a question; “Why did you cheer for Naruto?”

I averted my gaze from the stars to him and replied; “Because a strong ninja like him needs a little support, right?”

Sasuke scoffed. “He’s not strong. Didn’t you see how I easily took him down?”

I just smirked at him. “Yes, I saw how you beat him in that sparring match. But that was not what I meant by ‘strong’” I said

He looked confused as he stared at me. “What did you mean then?” he asked

“While the other students were cheering for you and no one bothered to cheer for him, I noticed that he was still smiling and he still had this determined look in his eyes. So just then I thought; ‘To smile even if people bring you down. What a strong ninja this boy is’” I said

Sasuke scoffed again. “That’s not strong. Strong is when you’re able to beat anyone who gets in your way.”  He said

“No. You’re wrong, Sasuke. Strong is when you’re able to stand up when life pulls you down. Sometimes, we don’t just smile because we’re happy. Sometimes, we smile because we’re strong. Some people easily give up on life and always put a frown on their face… but those who’ve been through rough times and can still manage to smile, those are people worth fighting for because you know that they’re strong inside and out. Naruto’s strong. He smiled through a rocky road and I haven’t seen a ninja like him in so long… it’s nice to know that there are still shinobi like him in this world” I said.

Sasuke seemed silent for a while before he sighed. “I never thought of it that way” he said.

I just nodded as a reply and we stayed silent as we gazed at the stars. I glanced at him from the corner of my eye and saw his eyes sparkling as they looked at the night sky’s beautiful stars.

“What’s your favorite color?” he suddenly asked catching me by surprise.

“What?” I stared at him with confusion and surprise while he just continued to stare at the stars.

“I asked what your favorite color is” he asked again, still keeping his eyes on the sky.

“Oh…um” I thought about it for a while considering I haven’t told anyone about my favorites for years. “Red and black are the only colors that appeal me so…yeah” I said

He nodded.

“What’s yours?” I awkwardly asked… Dude, I’m not good with socializing!

“Black” he replied and I gave a small nod.

“What’s your favorite food?” he asked

“Hey! What, are we playing twenty questions now?” I asked giving him a playful glare

He smirked before averting his gaze from the night sky to me. “Why not?” he asked

“Hmph! I told you that I don’t like people asking me questions about my life” I said
