Chapter Eight

Chapter Eight

KAMINA

"What's up, Uchiha?" I asked while my gaze was still on the stars.

He chuckled a little before walking towards me and sitting right beside me.

"Nothing much" he replied

"Well, I've got to say, I didn't expect to be teamed up with you" I said

"Me neither. I thought I would be put in a four-man cell not a five" he said

"Hmm... we have a survival test tomorrow" I said and Sasuke nodded

"Should be simple" he said

"Want to work together to pass?" I asked

Sasuke frowned. "I work alone" he said

I don't know why, but I felt a certain ache somewhere. I can't pinpoint where, though. "I see" I said

Sasuke glanced at me from the corner of his eye.

I stood up from my seat and turned around to leave. "Get some sleep, Uchiha. You need to be up at six tomorrow. Remember, don't eat breakfast. See you around" I said before jumping from roof to roof.

I didn't have to worry about the Uchiha following me since I was jumping really fast. I went to the forest that leads to the cliff. I walked into the scary looking forest and listened carefully to the sound of crashing waves. Once I heard the waves, I followed the sound and it again led to the beautiful cliff.

I walked across and sat on the edge of the cliff with my feet dangling. I looked up at the night sky and sighed. Why am I so hurt about Sasuke's rejection? I've experienced much worse.

I closed my eyes and relaxed while listening to the sound of crashing waves.

I suddenly remembered Sasuke's introduction a while ago.

"I'm Sasuke Uchiha. There are a lot of things I hate and little things that I like. I don't have a lot of hobbies. And as for my dream, I'd like to call it an ambition. And my ambition is to restore my clan and kill a certain man."

I know he's talking about Itachi. But... if only he knew why Itachi killed his own clan. If only he knew how much of a worthy shinobi Itachi is. I remembered the exact same words he said to me that night.

'I love my little brother, that's one of the reasons as to why I didn't kill him... He's too important to me.'

I frowned. I wish Sasuke won't make the wrong decision of killing Itachi when he grows up. Itachi was and still is an admirable shinobi. Ugh! Thinking about Sasuke and his brother is making my head ache!

I rubbed my temples as I tried to think of another topic. But sadly, the names 'Itachi' and 'Sasuke' kept appearing inside my head. I need company... but who?

Suddenly, I remembered two little idiots I always used to talk to when I was a kid. I thought about summoning them for a minute before I sighed and bit my thumb.

'Summoning Jutsu' I thought in my head as I slammed by hand on the ground beside me.

A puff of smoke appeared and I finally heard their voices.

"No! I did it better than you! I'm totally the best!" I heard a female voice scream

"No. I obviously did it better considering how I hit four targets and you only hit three" this time, I heard a male voice.
