KAMINA

After bathing, changing into a new pair of clothes, and grabbing an apple for breakfast, I casually walked down the road to the Academy. I got the apple from the food stock, which I didn’t notice, was filled in the fridge. I guess the Hokage’s nice enough to give me free food. It was still early in the morning and I’m sure that I’ll be the first student in class. Once I caught sight of the Academy, I finished up in eating my apple and threw it in the nearest garbage bin. I walked inside the building and headed towards my classroom. I opened the door and saw that the room was empty. I walked to the seat at the far corner of the room and just sat there, waiting for the students to fill in the room. I looked around the room and took in every detail. I suddenly remembered that time when I got in trouble for throwing a kunai inside the classroom when I was younger.

Flashback

“Mother, where are we going?” I asked the woman in front of me

“We’re going to school, sweetheart” mother said as she dragged me along the road

I caught sight of a blue building. We walked along the stone steps up to the door of the building. My mother opened the door and we were greeted by a middle-aged woman.

“Hello there, Yuki” the woman greeted my mother.

“Hi there, Rushi” mother greeted

The woman named ‘Rushi’ turned to me and her eyes widened but she forced herself to smile. “You must be Kamina” she said and I just nodded.

“Yes, I came here to talk to you about certain matters” mother said and by the look on Rushi’s face, I could tell that she knew what mother was talking about.

“Of course” Rushi said as she kept her gaze on my mother

“Kamina, sweetheart, why don’t you go around the school? Have some adventure and explore.” Mother said and I nodded.

I walked down a long hallway and looked around. There was a window on my left as I walked. The window showed the class that was on-going inside. I averted my gaze from the window to the far end of the hallway where a door was located. I quickened my pace and when I was in front of the door, I opened it. Inside, there were weapons everywhere. From the smallest to the biggest kunais , from the heaviest to the lightest katanas, from the sharpest to the most unique designed shurikens, and from the shortest to the longest swords. I always watched my father train and I saw how he used some of these weapons. I got curious so I went to the corner where the kunais where located. I took one kunai and inspected it. ‘Father throws these at his target when he’s training…Maybe I can throw it as well?’ I thought. I placed my fingers on the neck of the kunai and closed my eyes. I focused on nothing in particular and when I was ready, I turned around and threw the kunai. I heard the metal cut through the air but I don’t know where it landed. I heard glass shattering, though. My eyes snapped open when I heard a scream. I quickly ran out of the room to where I heard the screaming.

I came across the classroom I saw earlier but there was a difference. The window that once showed the on-going class from the inside was now broken into brittles. I looked inside the classroom and saw that the kunai I had thrown landed right beside the teachers head. The teacher was shaking with fright.

“What happened here?” mother asked as she appeared around the corner with Rushi.

The teacher turned to me and his eyes widened. “That monster tried to kill me!” he screamed while pointing a finger at me.
