Chapter Eighteen
KAMINA
Do you know that feeling when you think that nothing matters in the world anymore? That’s what I’m feeling right now. I literally drowned myself in training so I could somehow forget about Sasuke. But every single time I tried to focus, his smirking and playful face always comes into my mind. For some reason, I couldn’t find myself to get mad at him just like the way I couldn’t find it in my heart to get mad at Orochimaru. Yes I know that Orochimaru killed my clan and used me but I tried, I really tried to hate him but to no avail. Just like what I’m doing right now; I’m trying to hate Sasuke but nothing comes out but love and regret.
“I guess I really don’t know how to hate” I whispered to myself as I lied on the ground of the training field.
“Is that a bad thing?” I heard a familiar voice ask.
I sat up and turned my head to see Shino walking towards me. He sat beside me on the ground as we stared in nothing in particular.
“What happened?” he asked
I sighed… He is my friend so why not?
“I don’t know… I guess I made a mistake”
“What do you mean?”
“I easily gave my trust to Sasuke… And he easily broke it”
Silence
“Do you hate Sasuke?”
“No” I quickly answered “For some reason, I can’t find myself to hate anyone… Is that a bad thing?”
“No, it’s a good thing actually. I quite admire your kindness but I see you as nothing more than a friend”
“I appreciate that, Shino-kun”
“Let me guess, you’re trying to forget the pain by means of training?”
“Yes”
“You want to forget about Sasuke?”

“No. Maybe I just want to forget the pain but not Sasuke in particular”
“Hm… Just so you know, I and your friends will always be right here”
I smiled “Thank you, Shino”
He stood up and started to slowly walk away. “I still have somewhere to go to. See you when I see you, Kamina”
“Yeah, see ya’, Shino” I replied as I gazed at the slowly moving clouds.
Deciding to stop training for a bit, I went to the hospital to start working on Lee’s operation again. Lee had been getting better since last week and I’m starting to think that he’ll be better in a few days. A few days ago, I and Lady Tsunade were able to get the chances from 50-50 to 55-45 in favor of Lee’s chances in succeeding. Once I reached the hospital, I was surprised to learn from Weriya that Lee went to go somewhere. I took no time to roam around the village to find him. I told him not to get out of bed! Once I sensed his presence at the village gates, I quickly leaped towards that direction. Once I landed beside Lee, I was surprised to see Naruto, Kiba, Shikamaru, Choji and Neji in front of me.
