Chapter Sixteen

KAMINA

After Naruto finished his twenty bowls of ramen, I went straight home. Once I opened my apartment door, I thought about going to Sasuke’s place… Nah, I shouldn’t disturb him! He might still be tired and he needs to rest. I sighed as I looked around my apartment with bored and tired eyes…  Hands suddenly covered my eyes and I immediately knew who it was.

“Hi there, Raven, I was just thinking about you” I said as I took his hands off my eyes and faced him with a smile.

“And why were you thinking of me?” he whispered as he came closer

“No reason, really” I said with a smile as he pulled me to his chest

“You look tired” he whispered

“Training, remember?”

“I see, you want to rest now?” he asked and I nodded as I felt my eyes slowly droop.

I felt Sasuke’s warm arms carrying bridal style to my room before laying me down gently on my soft bed. I soon felt him slide in beside me and wrap his arms around my waist as the covers covered our close bodies. My tiredness miraculously disappeared as Sasuke traced circles on my waist all the while I kept my head on his chest.

“Sasuke, my tiredness suddenly disappeared” I stated

“And why is that?”

I shrugged. “I don’t know… maybe because you’re here?”

“Well while I’m here, care to tell me more about your life?”

“Why so curious, Uchiha?”

“Because everything about you is interesting” he whispered softly making my heart flutter before a smile crept onto my face.

“Fine” I agreed.

“Yes” Sasuke mumbled making me slightly giggle before taking a deep breath and continuing from where I ended the last time I told him the story of my life.

“Okay, after the encounter with the Tsuchikage, my next mission was to ambush a wealthy family that would come across a road near Sunagakure. I met Gaara there but he didn’t attack me or anything because he didn’t see me. I successfully stole a couple of cash from the wealthy family and brought it back to Orochimaru. A lot of things happened when I was nine but I’ll skip into detail and continue on to when I was ten years of age. I managed to be included inside the bingo book when I was ten because of……. A certain incident” I said nervously…. Sasuke can’t know that until the time is right. Sasuke sensed my nervousness and looked at me with confusion.

“What incident?” he asked

I gulped but tried to hide it with a cough. “When the time is right, I’ll tell you… Now is not the right time” I said

He lifted my chin so I would look into his onyx orbs. “I won’t judge you, Mina-chan” he assured

I smiled and put my hand above his hand that was on my chin. “I know you won’t…. Today is just not the right time… Not the right moment” I said
