TRUST

Chapter Twelve

Sanem awoke early and though it was early she text Mirhiban that Can was with her and they would meet her outside of town to follow her to the farm. She quickly received a text back with a location right outside of the city. Sanem smiled the farm was not too far from Can's mountain hut.

She could feel Can's eyes on her and looked up with a smile. "Gunaydin, love."

"Gunaydin" he answered "Who  are you texting so early?"

"Mirhiban. I thought since you were here you could drive me to meet her and go to the farm."

"I will be happy to do that. I will have to sneak out and meet you somewhere so that we do not take the chance that Huma or Yigit sees me."

Sanem frowned "I know, I just want to stay in your arms."
"Well, that will be possible, thanks to your new friend. I cannot wait to meet her."

They heard voices outside of her door and Can quickly rose and went to hide in the bathroom. Even though it was only seven in the morning, Huma walked in with smirk on her face.

"I hear you are being discharged today. Lucky you. It is too bad Yigit will be here a while longer."

"I hope he is doing well. I plan on stopping to see him before we leave."

"We?" asked Huma.

"Yes, my parents are picking me up to take me home."

Huma smiled at this, knowing that Mekvibe would not let the girl out of her sight for a while. "Well, I hope you plan on visiting Yigit, he needs you now and you should be there for him. After all, if you hadn't taken him to this mountain cabin of Can's he would not be in this shape."

Sanem didn't say a thing but it was taking everything Can had to stay in the bathroom. He didn't want Sanem anywhere close to Yigit but he knew there would be too many questions if Sanem left the hospital without seeing him.

He heard the door to Sanem's room close but he stayed in the bathroom, it was a good thing he did because Huma walked back in, looking around  the room as if she expected to find something. "I will tell Yigit you will be stopping by."

"Please, do." was Sanem's answer. The door shut again and she waited a couple of minutes "Can, you can come out now, it is safe."

"I don't want you anywhere near either of those two people." he was clearly upset.

"I don't want to either but if I don't go see him, he will just start calling me and I don't want to answer any of his  questions." she frowned "I think I will shower and dress, you had better go, where do you want to meet me?"

He handed her some money, take a taxi to the coast and I will meet you there around nine thirty." he kissed her many times and then slowly opened to the door, seeing the way clear, he left.  Sanem showered and dressed, waited on the nurse to come discharge. Before the nurse left she asked if she would make sure her parents got the letter she had written and then walked toward Yigit's room.  She stopped in front of his room and took a deep breath, knocked on the door and waited until she heard Yigit tell her to come in.

She put a small smile on her face and walked toward his bed "Gunaydin, Yig. You are looking better."

"I feel good, just the legs." She wanted to throw up, knowing he was lying and not being able to call him out, made her feel sick. "I am so happy to see you, I was so worried when I heard you were ill. It seems Can was toxic for both of us." He watched her face and could see that his words upset her. "Sanem, please don't tell me you still care about Can?"

"I will always care about Can, my love for him has not changed. He may not be here and may never come back but my love for him will never stop."

"Sanem" he said sharply "Don't be a fool."

His words upset her and she was afraid she wouldn't  be able to not speak but she wanted to say. They both became quite until Sanem's phone text with a message from her Anne. She finally took a breath and quickly text her mom back that one was still her discharge time.

"I am sorry, my Anne just text, they are here to pick me up, I have to go."

Yigit thought she looked relieved "Sanem, I am sorry if I upset you, I know it will take time for you to get over Can. But, just remember I will be here."

She was now furious, he wasn't even listening to her words. She said goodbye and quickly left before she said something she shouldn't. She ran out of the hospital and found a taxi, asking the driver to take her to the coast, to their spot, where her love was waiting. 

She seen Can as soon as they pulled up but not his truck. She paid and got out and walked up  to Can. He grabbed her and wrapped his arms tightly around her, she held on to him as if he were her life.

"Where is your truck?"

"Remide Teyze, had a car I could drive until this is over, my truck is still in the carpark where I had Emre park it."  she looked up at him "We have to be extremely careful until we confront Yigit and Huma."

"I know." She gave him a smile. "are you ready?"

"Evet. So what is this Mihriban's story?"

Sanem laughed, which was music to his ears.  "She will need to tell you that. But, it has a very interesting ending well, not quite ending but her story is a lot like ours, just either her or her love were the liars, just the ones caught between the lies."

He looked at her as he opened her car door "I can't wait to here this story." He got into the car and drove away.
