Chapter 47

ONE WEEK LATER

Can was still upset about what Polen had told him about Huma. How could one woman be so vile and vicious. The fact she was in prison and still trying to separate him from Sanem just left an uneasy feeling in his soul.

Someone had to be helping her, he believed Ceyda was but he felt that someone else was involved also. He had his sources check and both Fabri and Yigit were still out of the country, Aylin was nowhere to be found but Can thought she would more likely try to hurt Emre then Sanem but who would know that woman was also evil.

Can looked up as Sanem walked into his office, she was beautiful and every time he saw her she took his breathe away.

"Can, please, can we go to the mountain hut this weekend?"

"Evet, anything you want my love."

"I, just do not want to have to think about Huma or Ceyda or the problems they are trying to cause. I want us to be together, happy and safe."

"I will take care of everything but don't you think everyone will know we are going to the mountain hut?"

"But, not everyone knows where it is." she laughed.

Can smiled and shook his head "Let me finish here and I will tell Emre we are going away for the weekend."

Sanem walked out happy that Can agreed to leave but stopped abruptly outside his door, standing there with a Cheshire cat grin on his face was Yigit. She took a step back and turned and walked back into Can's office. He noticed her face had gone pale and quickly stood and walked over to her.

"Sanem, are you ok?" 

She simply shook her head no and Can looked over her shoulder and out the door, no one was standing there. He opened the door and quickly glanced around the room, it was lunch time so everyone was out of the office. He shut the door and took Sanem into his arms, holding her as tight as possible waiting for her to speak.

"Yig, Yigit was standing outside your door" she spoke so quietly he wasn't sure he heard her right.  He walked back to his desk, call security and then Emre "We are leaving, Yigit was in the office and scared Sanem. We will be gone for the weekend."

He looked up when he heard a knock on the door, waved Kerem, one of the guards inside.

"I need for you to review tapes from the past two hours, there was a man outside my office just now who is a threat to Sanem, once you find what we are looking for let me and Emre know."

Kerem nodded his head yes "I will get right on it" He turned and walked away as Can grabbed his keys and phone and took Sanem's arm to lead her out. She quickly grabbed her purse and they walked down the back stairs into the car park.

Can held Sanem's hand all the way to the farm, he kept looking to see if anyone was following but they were alone on the road. They packed an overnight bag and jumped back into his truck.

Can called his father and let him know what had happened and to make sure he kept watch on the farm, they couldn't be sure that Yigit wouldn't find them. Aziz said he would alert Metin and make sure that Emre kept watch at the agency. He told Can for them to stay away as long as they needed, Sanem needed to be kept safe and he agreed.

Sanem had been extremely quiet the whole time when they were on the road, she looked over at Can "Why now?  Why would he take a chance of being arrested and sent to jail?"

"He is crazy Sanem! He isn't thinking like a normal person and if Ceyda or Huma has convinced him that he can have you." he stopped talking "I just, I just don't think I could control myself if he hurt you. We are not going to the mountain hut now, he knows where that is and I won't take the chance he will try to hurt you."

"Where will we go then?"

"To the beach house." he said without looking at her "No one, absolutely no one, knows about our beach house." 

She smiled and seemed to relax, he was right, no one knew where they would be.

At the farm, Aziz was on the phone with Metin, when he hung up, he phoned Emre to make sure he followed up with security, either someone was playing a sick joke or Yigit was stupid enough to come back to Istanbul and think nothing would happen to him, just by being at the agency he had broken the agreement made for his testimony against Huma and he would make sure the man was thrown in jail. He was pacing the floor when his phone rang.

"Baba, it sure looks like Yigit on the film but Can said he had checked him out and he was out of the country. I don't understand."

"Anyone can lie, Emre, he must not have told anyone he was coming to Istanbul." he paused "I need you to get a copy of the tapes to the police."

"I will, Baba, Kerem has already copied the tapes, he made one of Metin and one for the police. I am taking them to Metin and then we will go together and will notify the police." He stopped for a second "I called Leyla and she is going to her parents to speak with them, everyone needs to be on watch." 

They talked a while longer then hung up, Emre was in a hurry to get the tapes to Metin, but  before he left he called Deren and CeyCey into his office and explained what had happened, telling them to notify him immediately if they saw either Ceyda or Yigit near the building. 

Down the street from the agency a man stood watching all the activities and smiled to himself, soon, very soon he would take down the Divits.
