Gamze stood in the conference room, her mouth slightly gapped open as she watched Deren walk out. What the hell had just happened? She looked over at Ferit Bey, who shrugged his shoulders pick up his papers and walked out. Ceyda was sitting there, all to happy for what just happened. Gamze knew at any other time she would be furious to be treated so abruptly.
"What just happened?" asked Gamze.
"I am not sure but right now I have other things to deal with." Ceyda stood up and left her standing there.
She picked up her phone and dialed Can's number.
"Hello"
"Can, it's Gamze, do you know why your team left our meeting? We didn't even get a chance to sign the contracts."
"Evet, I do and we won't be signing those contracts, not today, not ever." he paused, he truly cared for Gamze "My suggestion to you, is to get away from Ceyda before she ruins you. I am saying it might be in your best interest to find a new job." he said and hung up.
She stood there in bewildered thought, what happened? Did Ceyda do something again? Can sounded furious. She needed to talk to him but she needed to do it in person. She went to her office and picked up her purse and left, Ceyda watching her from her office door.
Sanem was standing in the door to Can's office, his back to her when Gamze phoned, she heard his side of the conversation, what in the world had happened now! He turned to find her standing there and smiled.
"What happened?" she asked.
"I think it's best to wait til the team gets back from their meeting but I will say that we will not be working with Compass Sports ever again."
Metin, Deren and Emre walked in, all were visually upset. "Now that everyone is here, will you please tell me what is going on?" she asked.
"Ceyda paid a visit to Huma today." Emre stated.
"What? Why?"
"I would say they are still working to keep us apart." Can answered.
"But, does Ceyda realize how much damage she just did to Compass Sport? I mean, of course, she can go with another agency but her word."
"She hadn't signed the contracts, but that has nothing to do with her visiting Huma. She will blame us of course." Can answered. "We need to get a head of this. Knowing her, she will leak something to the press about how we walked out on a contract signing."
Metin nodded "I will get right on it. Emre, can I use your office?" Emre nodded yes and Metin walked out.
There was a knock on the door and they all turned to see Gamze standing there. Can pushed his hands through his hair and then motioned for her to enter.
"Can, what is going on?" she asked.
"Huma went to the prison this morning to meet with Huma." he simply stated.
Gamze was confused "They were friends, why shouldn't she visit your, ah, Huma?"
"No, they used each other and apparently now they are going to work together to ruin my marriage and reputation. Well, the agency's anyway."
"I don't understand, I'm sorry."
Sanem turned to Gamze "Huma and Ceyda worked together to try and break us up. Ceyda said some untruthful things to me about Can and to Can about me. Huma gave her instructions on what to do. They wanted a wedge between us and then Ceyda was going to swoop in and win Can's heart." she laughed at her words.
"Is she trying to ruin both companies?" Now Gamze was mad.
"You and I have been friends for a long time so I will say again get away from her before she ruins you." Can stopped then continued "I believe she would just use you to get information about Sanem and I, if we continued to work with you. Her visit today just proved that she would not have kept her word after she signed, she would have found a way to get to me."
Sanem smiled at his words, he sounded so cocky, so sure of himself. He laughed when he realized what he had said.
"I don't mean me, well, you all know what I mean, we all remember how Ceyda acted last time."
"I have to now tell our client that we will not be working with you, I know he will not work with Compass Sports now, he only wanted to work with you." Gamze said.
Sanem looked between Can and Gamze, she truly did like the other woman and she knew Can was right.
"Gamze, can I ask you a couple of personal questions?" Sanem asked.
"Sure, I guess." she answered.
"Do you have a work contract with Ceyda, Compass Sports?"
Gamze shook her head no " What about a no compete clause? Can you work at another company without fear of a law suit?"
"There is no contract or any no compete clauses. If I choose to leave Compass, I am free to work anywhere I want." She looked at Sanem and then Can, confused as to what Sanem's point was.
"What about your client has he signed a contract?"
"No, he waiting until we had firm word that we would work with your agency."
"Then, my suggestion is for you to give your two week notice, give whatever reason you want. Speak with your client and tell him whatever you feel necessary. After the two weeks then, ask him to work with us through you as a consultant."
Can looked at his wife, she never failed to amaze him.
"This could be a gold star on your resume." Can said. "You could free lance with any company looking for someone to advise regarding which agencies to use and provide insight to campaigns presented."
"Do you think that would work?"
"How do you know if you don't try? Give your two week notice, tell your client you need a month to prepare but that Fikri Harika is willing to work with you as his consultant." Can said.
Gamze was so excited, her face was lite with her smile.
"You are right. I didn't like what Ceyda did, even though, at first, I pushed her toward Can but after I got to know Sanem, I knew she needed to leave it alone. I am going back to Compass Sport tomorrow and turn in my resignation. Thank you both."
She hugged both Can and Sanem and then left.
"Do you really think Ceyda will leave this alone?" Asked Deren.
"No, I think she will attempt to throw shade at us and try to lose us business but we have an ace up our sleeve if we can come up with the right campaign. Get our best creative team and let's meet in fifteen minutes."
