Chapter Thirteen

Mekvibe was furious, she had the read the letter from Sanem, at least three times before handing it to Nihat to read. She paced up and down the hallway and finally stopped and turned to look at Leyla.

"You knew about this?" she asked.

"No, Sanem called and ask me to bring her some clothes to wear home but didn't say a word about leaving." she answered her Anne.

"Who else would know?  Where could she have gone?" asked Nihat.

"I don't know, I spoke to Ayhan this morning, she said she hadn't heard from Sanem in a couple of days but wanted her to call her when we got her home."

"I will kill this girl!" said Mekvibe.

"Anne, maybe this is for the best. This way Huma nor Yigit will be able to bother her."

At that moment, Leyla's phone pinged with a message, she opened it up "I am sorry but I knew Anne would not let me leave, I need this time." Leyla showed the message to her Anne, which started her ranting and raving again.

"Anne!" Leyla didn't want to say anything but knew it had to be said "You would have smothered Sanem, worrying over her, you know you would. She is an adult so if you want her to come to you with what she needs and to talk then you have to accept her wishes and treat her as an adult."

Leyla quickly text back she understood and that she had told her Anne she needed to give her this time. Sanem sent back a heart.

"I am worried, she was so depressed when Can left." her Anne said. "And with all that has happened, the lies from Huma."

"I know, we all were and still am but you have seen her the past few days, she was so much better. The doctor wouldn't have let her leave otherwise." Leyla looked up "Oh, Allah, not her."

The Aydins turned and looked to see Huma headed their way. "Gunaydin, I jut came to say goodbye to Sanem and to remind her that Yigit will need her by his side."

Leyla spoke quickly "I am sure that Sanem will visit Yigit but she does not need to be by his side, they only work together and Yigit needs to remember that."

Mekvibe turned to look at her daughter, knowing what she did, she knew that Leyla even though  why she spoke so sharply at Huma, was better at not telling secrets so she kept her mouth shut.

"Well, where is she now?" she asked.

Again, Leyla spoke first "The doctor had some last minute instructions, she is in his office, we are on our way their now." She said as she took her parents by the hand and walked them away, leaving Huma standing there with her mouth open.

Nihat spoke "Leyla, that was  rather rude."

"You don't know how terrible that woman has been to Sanem, she taunts her all the time, belittles her and thinks she should be able to tell Sanem what she should be doing. She is an evil woman, Baba, you know what she has done."

They walked back out to the parking lot, "Go back home, Sanem will call you as soon as she feels comfortable. Let her have her time. I need to get to work." said Leyla, she kissed both parents and then headed to the bus stop.

"Nihat, we have parented strong children, always taught them how to be strong and stand up for themselves. Leyla is right, we must trust Sanem, even if I don't like the way she handled this, I realize I wouldn't have let her do this."

Nihat stood looking at his wife, he loved that their daughters were strong willed, they took after his wife and he couldn't be prouder. 

Sanem and Can followed Mirhiban to the estate, Can wondering why she leaved so isolated but when they turned onto the property it took his breath away. The land was beautiful, rolling green hills, he could see the fruit trees growing off to one side of the property, Mirhiban's home was made was stone and glass.  When he got out of the truck, he could swear he could smell the sea. 

"Welcome" Mirhiban said as she walked toward the couple.

"Ah, this is beautiful and you were right very peaceful." Answered Sanem.

"Are we near the sea?" Can asked.

"Evet, the walkway to the dock is closer to Sanem's cabin. Come on, I will show you where you will live and then show you around the property." They followed her as she walked towar the back of her home, the pool area was beautiful, they continued to walk until they could see a smaller version of her home. The windows, went from ceiling to floor and showed the open kitchen, living area. Their was an outdoor sitting area and firepit.

"This is breath taking"  Said Can.

"Thank you, come on I will show you where to put the bag and then we will can walk around the property."
