Metin met Can and Sanem outside of the court room, he wanted to talk to them before they entered so they would understand what would happen.

"I am glad you are here, even though you didn't have to come today, I think it is best." he stated "I want you to hear from me what will take place today. The prosecuting attorney will present the criminal charges against Huma, her counselor will then give her pled, if she pleads guilty then there will only be sentencing, which the judge will determined either today or after he studies the evidence then after they are finished, I will present the civil charges."

"What?" said Sanem "What do you mean civil charges?"

"We will charge Huma, with defamation of character, slander and mental abuse."

"Mental abuse?" she asked "Are you talking about me or Can?"

"Actually both."

"So, what do you expect to get out of this because I don't want anything from her but for her to leave me alone."

"You could be rewarded money."

"I don't want her money!"

"Sanem, she is responsible for you being in the hospital, she should have to pay your medical bills." Stated Metin.

"How will she pay for that if she is in prison?"

"Her money will stay in her bank account, before she is sentenced she will have the to opportunity to ask someone to manage her accounts, a trusted person, who will continue to pay her mortgage so that she doesn't lose her home. If she decides to sale her home then the money will remain in her account until she is released from prison. I am sure her attorney has advised her to do this. Once she is out of prison then she can take her accounts back over."

"So, why bring the other charges, I can see making her pay for hospital bills, if not for her and Yigit I wouldn't have had a break down but why the slander and defamation of character?"

"Mainly, we want to scare Huma but she deserves to have to pay for what she has done. I hate to say this but if she thinks she will have to go through more time involved with a court case that will keep her in the lime light but not in a good way. She is very vain and she won't want people to think of her as anything but a social lite, a person of importance, that the way she wants others to see her not as a criminal. Her status, her reputation will be destroyed if word of what she did to your gets out. So we are hoping she might be willing to hear another option."

"And that is?"

"That she leaves Istanbul, never to return and to never attempt to contact either your or Can. If she does she will break the agreed upon settlement and more jail time or compensation can be given to her."

"What about Emre?"

"That is up to him." answered Metin "He is in a difficult situation, he has just recently learned what Huma did, he as loved his Anne this whole time even if he didn't agree to what she has tried to do,  but this, this has rocked his world. The decision to still be part of her life is up to him. But, I know he was truly devastated when he learned what happened to you on top of what she did to him and Aziz Bey."

"When will we know of her decision on the civil charges?"

"Hopefully before we go into court. If her attorney doesn't ask to speak with us then she probably told him no and then we will proceed. I do know that she asked again to speak to Can before we go into court but her attorney doesn't know why."

"Do we know what she is going to do in there? Is she going to plead guilty?" asked Can.

"I seriously don't know but you know your Anne." Metin answered "Let's go in and be seated, I want you to sit behind where the prosecutor and I are sitting."

They walked in and Metin showed them where to sit. Sanem grabbed hold of Can's hands, her were freezing and he rubbed them to try and warm them up. Just as Huma was being led into the court room he leaned over and kissed Sanem, perfect timing he thought, she needs to see she couldn't tear us apart.

Huma's counselor walked over to Metin and talked in a very low voice.

"Huma said she will agree to what you want with the civil charges if Can will take care of her bank accounts, he can pay Sanem's hospital bills from then and if she agrees to this she will sale her house."

"I will ask Can but I don' think he will agree to keeping her accounts. Let me he asked." Metin walked over to Can and Sanem and told him what Huma would agree to.

"NO!" Can answered quickly "She can ask Baba or Emre but I want nothing to do with her at all."

Metin shook his head in understanding, walked back to Huma's counselor and told him what Can said. He turned to Huma who heard what Metin said, she shook her head yes "If Aziz will agree then I will do what Can ask but I want to talk to him, I need to tell him why I did what I did."

Metin looked at Huma in awe "Really, after all you did, you don't think Can knows why you did this. I will not agree to that for Can. I will have him call Aziz but ask about your accounts other than that you get nothing more than Can or Sanem." She lowered her head and finally nodded in agreement. Metin walked over and told Can, who walked outside of the court room to call his dad. When he walked back in he nodded to Metin, who in turned spoke to Huma and then the prosecuter.

Her counselor walked back over to Metin, I have tried to talk to her about her plea with the criminal charges but she doesn't feel she did anything wrong so your guess is as good as mine as to what she will have me say. He turned and walked back to where Huma sat, talking to her quietly.

When the judge walked in they all stood, the prosecutor read the charges against Huma.

"I hear there are also civil charges that will be brought up?" The Judge asked.

Metin stood "There has been an agreement between the parties so those charges will not need to be addressed." The judge nodded turned and looked at Huma. "Do you understand the charges that have been brought against you?"

"Yes, your honor" She said.

"How do you pled ?"

Huma turned and looked at Can and Sanem, then she looked down at the table.

"Ma'am?"

"I pled, I pled guilty, your honor"

Can could literally feel the heaviness in his chest go away. Sanem sat crying silently.
