Anahita's Pov

Sighing loudly after coming out of the surgery room. Night shifts are very exhausting. I love to work in the day time but I don't know why my HOD told me to work in the night shift. This shift is much more exhausting than the morning and the evening one. But after all I love my job and that is I'm a surgeon in Apollo Hospital works in the Emergency Room. I'm 26 yrs old. My parents dad Anand Roy who is also a surgeon but a neuro one and my mom Geeta Roy is a fashion designer. But the thing they both live in U.S. It was my parents dream of me being a doctor. Their dream became my passion and that's where I am and happy with it.

I completed my studies in U.S only but I always want to work in my motherland that's why I'm in India. My parents were not happy with my decision of me practicing in India but still they agreed because they want their daughter to become an independent and a wonderful women.

In my college days I didn't date a single guy because all I want is to become a doctor first. That doesn't mean I didn't get any proposal I got many proposals but I never paid any attention to them. Many girls were jealous of my looks and popularity, always try to put me in trouble. But I'm smart enough to let myself into any type of problem.

I don't have much friends here in India except one because all my friends are in U.S. The one and only friend of mine is Atharva Saxena. He is pediatrician, works in the same hospital as mine but he is on his leave for few days because his mother is sick so that's why he has to go.

My shift is over and I was on my way to my cabin so that I can leave for my home. When Nurse Shristi came and ask " Doctor! Doctor! There is one patient who is injured so can you please attend him? because there is not a single doctor avaliable for that patient and it'll take few minutes only. I know you're tired but this is the last after that you can go" She asked me with hopefull eyes. I can't deny her after this so sighing I said " Okay fine tell me where is the patient. " Then she took a me to the emergency room to bed no. 4 patient.

There I saw a person lying on the bed holding his left arm tightly which was bleeding but he head covered it with a handkerchief. I went near him and ask" Excuse me Sir, I'm the doctor who'll treat your injury. Can you please show me your arm? " He nodded" Yes doctor" with that he sat straight and forward his left hand towards me. I carefully remove the handkerchief from the wound and throw it in the bin. It was a deep cut on his left forearm.

"It's a very deep cut, need to do some stitches" I told him. The patient looked at me horrified like he has seen some ghost. "Actually he is afraid of stitches." A person from the front told me. I look at my front there was a handsome man. I didn't noticed him earlier. Sitting beside the bed looking at me with a mischievous smile. I looked at his eyes which were blue and so captivating it was like I've drown myself into his blue ocean eyes.

That was the moment we both were lost in each other. Our trance was broken by a phone ringing it was Nurse Shirti's phone. She went away to receive it. I look back at the patient who was giving a death glare to the person sitting beside him. But that person was busy looking at me.

"That is the only way to heal your wound otherwise it could lead to serious infection too. So stiching is the only option "I told him. Sighning irritatingly" Okay fine. But try to make it less painful" he said. I heard a giggle from the person sitting beside the bed "Sir it'll only pain a little you don't need to worry about it" I assured him with a smile. Then I started doing stiches.

While doing the stiches I asked "How did you got this injury it's pretty bad?"
"He fell from stairs" Again the person beside the bed said. The patient glared at him "Will you please shut up and let her work." He whispered to him but I heard it. Trying my level best to control my laugh in front of these duo. I've to hide my face so that they can't see me grinning on their little banter.
