Chapter 22

Anahita's Pov

Diya's mom's death was really unbelievable for me. Her mom hide this fact from her that she is suffering heart disease only not to worry her.

Before they took her in the hospital she was already dead.

She had some blockages in the arteries of her heart because of the that she got sudden cardiac arrest which led to her death.

It was too late.

Yesterday was her mother's funeral ceremony. I also attended it because I think I should be there for her.

Her mother was her only family in this world I don't know how she's gonna live without her mom.

I can't imagine myself living without mom that thought just scared me to hell.

Today is Sunday I didn't plan anything for today.

I didn't call Aditya too thought to give him time to rest yesterday he was working alot to set the arrangements of the ceremony.

I was just thinking about how lucky I'm that I have so many people to care for me and she has no one.

I thought to call my parents and talk to them so that I'll feel a little better.

Just than my phone started ringing it was mom only.

What a coincidence!!!

"Hello mom, I was just thinking about you and dad only" I said smiling.

"Really! we were too, so how's my little princess?" mom asked chuckling

"I'm good mom, How're you both?" I said

"We are good too dear and how's Aditya?" she asked.

I already told my parents about Aditya, I don't like to keep things from them so I told them. They were very happy especially my mom.

When I told them that Aditya is an orphan but still his nature is too good around the people he love they told me that I'm lucky as I got a such a nice guy like him.

"He's good too mom." I said

"Where are you in hospital or home?" she asked

"I'm home mom it's weekend." I said did she forgot that today is Sunday.

"Oh yeah I remember it's Sunday. Okay dear I'll call you later your dad is calling me." she said

"Okay mom, tell Dad that I miss him." I said

"Sure baby, bye" with that she hanged up.

I'm really missing them I decided that next week I'll take some leave and plan a trip to meet them.

I was preparing breakfast when my doorbell rang.

It must be Aditya.

I went to door opened it without looking at peephole because I know who is it and when I opened the door, what I saw shocked me.

It wasn't Aditya, it was my parents who were standing in front of me with there luggage.

Just an hour ago we talked and now they are standing in front of me.

I mean how is this possible.

"Surprise" they both said clapping their hands excitedly

"Oh my god mom dad, I missed you both alot" hugged both of them.

"We too princess" they both said hugging me back

I let them enter in the apartment.

"Seems like you're cooking" my mom said looking at the kitchen.

"Yeah I was preparing breakfast why don't you both get freshen up then we'll have breakfast together." I said excitedly.

After such a long time we'll have breakfast together.

"That's a good idea." Dad said patting my shoulder

I showed them their room and went to set the table.

After half an hour we were sitting at the dining table having our breakfast.

"Anahita what happened? why are you looking so sad?" mom said noticing my mood.

This got dad's attention he looked at me

"What happened princess? Is everything okay?" he asked me getting worried

"No no it's nothing, I'm fine dad" I said assuring that I'm okay

"Don't you dare to lie to me, tell me dear what's the matter? We'll sort it out together."

I sighed and decided to tell them.

"Do you remember I told you about Aditya's friend Dev?" I asked them if they remember.

They nodded their heads.

"His one friend Diya, her mom passed away two days ago." I said in a shaky voice.

I was about to cry, when my mom got up from her seat, walked towards me and hugged me tightly, soothing my back.

It was really difficult for me to go through all this, I can't think how Diya would've manage to hold herself.

I told my parents everything.

"I can understand princess." dad said caressing my head

We prayed for her mother.

In the afternoon my mom gave me the gifts she brought from New York.

We all were in my room.

They were all nice, we were having a good time.

When my phone ranged it was from hospital I received it

"Hello, This is Dr. Anahita" I said

"Hello mam, this is Shristi." person on the other line said

"Yes Shristi, Ie everything fine?" I asked her

"Actually mam there is an emergency case, the patient condition is critical. Can you please come now mam? It's really urgent." she said

"Okay, I'll be there in 30 minutes get the OT ready." I said

"Yes mam" she said and hanged up

"Mom dad I have to go, there is an emergency." I told them picking out my outfit from my closer.

"Okay dear, come back fast" dad said

"I'll be back soon." I said

I got ready quickly, kissed my parents cheeks and left for the hospital.
