Chapter 24

Anahita's Pov

When I entered my home what I saw was shocking.

Aditya was sitting with my dad and talking with him, I've thought to let them meet each other but I didn't expect it like this.

"Why are you still standing? Come and sit" mom said

I looked at her and took a sit beside my dad.

Adi was sitting in front of me then my mom came and sat beside him.

He smiled at me mischievously, I looked him with a confused face.

"What are you doing here?" I asked him out of curiosity I thought he must be tired after the funeral ceremony but what is he doing here?

"I called you many times, but you didn't picked my call so I got worried and came to your home directly to check on you." he said

What he called? but when I didn't got any call. I started looking for my phone in my handbag,I found it and saw there were 10 missed from him.

Then I realised that I've put my phone phone on silent before going into the surgery.

"I'm sorry it was on silent, I'm extremely sorry for that." I apologized to him quickly not wanting him to get mad at me.

"It's okay, I can understand instead of it I got to meet your parents they are so sweet." he said smiling at my parents.

My mom pinched his cheeks at this and my dad caressed his head.

I smiled at this moment because Aditya always wanted to feel parents love and I think he got this opportunity, my parents also love him like his own child and I'm glad they accepted him wholeheartedly.

"Anyways I came here to inform you about Dev's marriage" he said looking at me

What Dev's marriage? but how, when and to whom?

"Dev as you friend right?" mom asked him. He nodded his head

"What are you saying Dev's wedding but how?" I asked him shockingly

"Actually, after Diya's mom's death he is really worried about her so he decided marry her." he said

"What about his parents and how did Diya agree to this sudden marriage?" I asked totally confused

"Dev's parents agreed immediately after seeing Diya they instantly liked her and about Diya he explained her that she can live happily and peacefully with him, she can do whatever she wants to and she don't have to be alone he'll be with her for the rest of their lives. So she agreed." he explained

I nodded my head understanding, I think he took a good decision in this way her life can be happy.

"When they are getting married?" dad asked

"Actually tomorrow only they are going to married in court room as he don't have much time to prepare for the wedding so he decided to get married in court only and he also told me that you're invited too." he said looking at me

"Okay I'll definitely come after all it's my brother's wedding" I said smiling

I looked at mom she was looking at little lost so I asked her.

"Mom, what happened? what are you thinking?"

"If you don't mind, can we also come to Dev's marriage tomorrow?" my mom asked Adi

Adi looked at me confusingly, not knowing what to answer her.

I looked at dad he was looking confused by this

"Buy why mom?" I asked her confused

"Princess her mom was her everything now she's not in this world, she'll be alone at her own marriage from her side So I thought to we can attend this marriage as her guardians and give moral support to her." she said

I didn't think of this, she is right, I can't explain from which pain she's going through this is all too sudden for her but it's for her benefit only.

I nodded my head agreeing to her point of view.

"Yes aunty, you can surely come, Dev won't mind it, instead he'll be happy and Diya will also not feel lonely tomorrow. I'll give a call to him and tell about your coming." he said smiling at my mom

"Yeah that will be okay" my dad said smiling.

Next Day I got ready in a pink saree gifted by mom.

I already informed in the hospital that I'll take half day today.

Mom dad also got ready and from there we went to court.

The marriage was done successfully without any problem, my parents supported Diya wholeheartedly she was also looking happy by that.

My parents and Dev's parents instantly became friends they were happy that got a daughter in law and a daughter like her.

I hope she recovers from her mom's death very soon and why not when Dev is at her side and keep her happy.

When they were taking their vows I felt someone holding my hand I instantly realised the person it was Adi.

It was like we were also taking vows inside our hearts, like he is promising me that he'll be there for me whenever I needed him, he'll took care of me and always love me.

In response I squeezed his hand a little like telling that I'll do that same too.

Whatever relation we have between us will be strong and long lasting.

We'll never let any third person come between us.

I have full faith and trust in him and with that I accept him with whole heart.

I promise to love him till eternity...
