First And The Last One

Chapter 11

Dev's Pov

I was in the supermarket buying some groceries for my home as today is my last holiday later on I won't get time to buy them, so I'm shopping right now.

I was looking for cup noodles in the snacks section, I found them and was putting them in my basket, when someone tapped on my shoulder.

I turned to look at the person and got shocked. There was a girl standing in front of me with a small smile on her face.

She was the same girl whom I saved that day at night from those drunkards.

What is she doing here? Why did she ran away that day? What's her name? I've so many questions running in my mind and only she can answer them.

She doesn't have any idea that her thoughts have totally invaded my mind and peace.

After that incident I can't stop thinking about her. Her beautiful face always comes in front of my eyes whenever I close them.

I don't know what it is but want
to sort it out.

When I saw her I felt something, I don't know what I felt, but whatever this feeling is, it was beautiful.

I can live with this feeling for the rest of my life.

She shooked my shoulder and brought me out of my thoughts.

"Excuse me Sir, Are you there?" She asked looking confused

"Ah - uh - yeah I'm-I'm here" I said while stuttering. I don't know why I'm nervous around her.

"Actually sir-" before she continue I cut her off by saying

"Please call me Dev, Sir is too formal for me." I said clearing her.

She smiled at me.

Her smile is so beautiful just like her.

"Okay, Actually I came here to say thanks to you for saving me that day. It really means a lot me, I'm not that strong enough to fight back those boys, so thank you very much for saving me, and I'm sorry too because of that fight you got injured badly and I ran away without taking you to hospital ." She said in a breath.

I was looking at her calmly, listening her every word carefully. I smiled at her. She is so cute and innocent she even apologized for that thing too when she's not at fault for it.

"Its okay, if any person was there he would've done the same" I said while smiling.

But deep down I'm happy because I was there to help her.

"I hope your injury must have healed till now" she said looking guilty,

"It's fine now, By the way can I ask you something?" I asked her "Yeah sure" She said

"That day it was very late at night what were you doing outside at that hour of midnight?" I asked her because I was really wondering what was she doing outside that too in midnight.

"Actually, I was coming back home after the night shift at call center." she said.

Oh, so she works at call center but who the hell told her to work in the night shift it's too dangerous for her, not only for her for every women.

"okay " I said understanding her.

"I think I should go now it's very late, once again thank you very much for saving me. Bye" She said and started walking away.

She can't walk away like this. I've so many questions to ask her like - why her thoughts have invaded my mind?  Why she always comes in my dreams?
What is this feeling which makes me thought about her more?

I can't ask her those questions right now but at least I can ask her name, so I called her she turned to look at me, I walked to her

"Excuse me, You forgot to tell me your name?" I ask her with smile. She looks at me for her seconds, then said "My name is Diya, Diya Sinha."  "I'm Dev Mehra as you know." I said while forwarding my hand for a handshake.

She looked at my hand for a second, then hesitantly forward her hand too.

We shaked our hands and after that she left from there.

I can still feel the warmth of her soft hand on mine. I was looking at her back until she disappeared from my sight.

I was smiling like an idiot, people in the store around me looking at me like I'm a psycho. So I controlled myself and continued my shopping.

On the way back I was just thinking about her.

She is really pretty and her name also. She is like an angel in disguise came from heaven only for me.

I was nearby my colony when I saw Diya walking on the footpath I parked my car on the left side of the road so that I can see her where she is going.

I saw her entering the colony which is beside mine which means she lives in my nearby that's great.

Whenever I want to see her I can come here.

With a smile I started diving towards my home.

If the destiny brought us together then I'll be the happiest man alive...
