"Ok so after breakfast we will be loading up on the bus." Mr. Heins starts as he sits down with some wrist bands.
Emily and her group were all seated at a table in the hotel lobby.
Along with the rest of their grade. "When we arrive at the museum you are all to stay with me until assigned with a tour guide."
Mr. Heins go's on about the rules until Mrs. Hills interrupts. "The busses are now outside please stay with your teacher and your group once you are all seated we will come around with your wristbands."
Everyone starts loading up on the bus. Emily was seated next to some boy. And Tina was seated in front of her.
"You in Henry's group?" She asks the boy next to her. "Who's that?" "Oh never mind he's my friend." "The kid with blonde hair?" "Yeah him." "Oh yeah he's a dick."
Emily's eyes widen. "What do you mean? He's pretty nice." "Yeah that's what he wants you to think. I hear around."
Emily nods while looking out the window. She gets a notification from her phone.
'You haven't spoke to me all morning. Why?' It was Mr. Heins. She looks at the boy who was looking the opposite direction. 'It's like your trying to get caught.' 'It's my job to worry.'
Emily rolls her eyes putting her phone on mute and resting her head on the window. She didn't even notice when she fell asleep until the boy tapped her shoulder.
They were at the museum. "Damn." Tina says stretching as everyone stands up. "Were you sleep?" "Yes." Emily checks her phone as they wait for further instructions.
She had 3 notifications from Mr. Heins. 'Is something wrong?' 'Emily if I'm bothering you then tell me.' 'Ok.'
She's starting to regret getting his number. She's not mad at him, but she feels he's not taking them serious.
They could get caught and it seems like he doesn't even care. It's his job at risk, he has to.
Emily and her group step off the bus. "Ok so the person at the door will scan your wristbands and you will report to where ever they tell you."
Mrs. Hills announces. Emily didn't notice Mr. Heins was behind her until he spoke.
"So something is wrong?" Emily looks at him before looking away. "No." "No what?" "Nothing is wrong." "You sure are acting like it. Emily please talk to me I can't read sigh language."
"Fine. Your acting like." Emily starts but looks around then leans in closer so that just he could hear her.
"Your acting like you can't loose your job and probably go to jail if we get caught. Your not taking this serious and I am when it should really be you. It's your job not mines but I can't live my life knowing that I was the reason yo-."
"Everyone should be lined up here." Mrs. Hills calls. Tina pulls Emily away with her before she could finish her sentence.
"Ok so who's that boy you were sitting with he's cute." "I didn't get his name. But he's in Henry's group." Emily looks behind her catching Mr. Heins eyes.
While Tina has a side conversation, Emily pulls out her phone.
'I'm sorry. I sounded rude and I didn't mean it like that I guess I'm just on edge because we're crammed up with all these staff members and kids.'
After that Emily and Tina had got their wristbands scanned and were placed in a larger group but this time with the museum tour guides instead of their teachers.
