Song: God's Whisper by Raury
"You ready for this weekend?" Mr. Heins asks as the room clears out. "Yes I'm ready Mr. Heins I just need to stop at home to get my bag."
"Ok I'll pick you up after I drop Robby off at my moms." "Ok see you later." She smiles as she gives him a kiss.
"We need to stop at Henry's house." Tina says as she starts up her car. "He still not answering you?" "No. And it's Zoe's fault. If he doesn't answer the door I'm beating that bitch up."
Emily laughs as she pulls out her phone. "Who you texting?" "Mr. Heins.." Emily smiles. "I'm so excited for this weekend." "If your trying to rub it in my face.. don't. Zack's taking me skating so.." Emily laughs. "How fun."
"You should take birth control." She quickly looks at Tina. "What? No." "Well does he use condoms?" Emily blushes and looks out the window.
Tina pulls up into Henry's driveway, and looks at Emily. "Wow.. so you're letting him rail you raw?" "He pulls out we're fine Tina.."
"What ever you say.. but if you get pregnant I'm the godmother." Emily laughs as they begin knocking on Henry's door.
"Hi Mrs. Windfield is Henry home?" "Hey girls yes he's in his room. I'd be careful though he says he's really sick."
The two looks at each other. "Thank you." The two make their way up to Henry's room.
"Henry why aren't you answering my calls?" Tina opens the door. "No, please not right now." "Yes right now. Get up." Tina says while pulling the covers off of Henry's head.
"Have you talked to Zoe?" "No. And I won't. She killed my fucking baby." "Well.. it's her you're mad at not us. Why are you ignoring us?"
"I haven't felt like talking to anyone.." He shrugs his shoulder. "Are you depressed?" He smiles. "No. I'm not depressed.."
"Ok well you weren't at school all week and you lied to your mother about being sick. You are sick.. a sick monster. How could you?" Tina hits him with his pillow.
"Ok I'm sorry.." He laughs. "Come on we have to go drop Emily off at home. Then we're going out."
"Why do you have to go home?" Emily and Tina look at each other. "I.. I have to help Nora with some work and stuff." "I thought she was old enough to t-" "Yeah well I told her I'll take her out once she's finished."
"Oh ok." As the three pull up, Emily spots Mr. Heins car parked across the street from her house.
"Ok we'll see you later bitch." Emily smiles as she shuts the door. "See you later assholes." Emily waves at Mr. Heins before running in to get her bag.
"Where's mom?" "She was here when we got home from school. But then she left with that muscular guy." "Ok well I'm spending the weekend at Tinas keep a eye on Nora."
"She's not here." Emily pauses. "What do you mean?" "Last time we saw her was this morning." "Why didn't you call me?" Emily runs upstairs to look in Noras room. She was gone.
"Where's Kendrick?" "At his friends." "Are you not worried about Nora?" Emily pulls out her phone to call her. "Not really," He sits down on top of the counter.
"I don't know why you're so worried.. you're never here." Emily looks at Riley. "Yes I am."
"No you're always in you're room. Moms never here. Kendrick is literally never here. It's always just me and Nora. She's been going to her friends house everyday after school, and it took you this long to realize.. are you actually ever here?"
Emily rolls her eyes. "What are you trying to say?" "Uh.. to stop acting like you care. Obviously you have a life outside of this house, and that's fine. But stop trying to act like you're the one doing all the parenting around here. You're never here."
Emily grabs her bag. "What ever. I'll be back Monday." "My point proven." "Shut the fuck up Riley. Because when I was here I was the one taking care of you. Did I ever get a thank you? No, I didn't."
"No you weren't, because when you were here, mom was here.. Kendrick was here.. we were all here.. what happened huh? Why is everyone so distanced all of a sudden? I just want my fucking family back."
Riley storms pass Emily slamming the door as he makes his way down the street. "Riley.." Emily follows behind him, but stops when she spots Mr. Heins car again.
"Fuck.." She runs back in to grab her bag. "Sorry.. I had to grab some more things." She says as she quickly hops into Mr. Heins car.
"It's fine.. is everything okay?" She looks at him. A tear rolling down her face.
"Yeah it's fine.. I just got into a small argument with my brother.." "Emily.. you're crying. What happened?"
She sighs. "Nothing.. can we talk about this some other time.. please.?" "Of course. You ready to go?" "Yes.."
Emily smiles as Aron places his hand on her thigh. She watches the sunset as they hop on the highway. The fresh breeze hitting her face as he rolls down the windows.
She breathes in slowly relaxing in the cool leather seats. Aron smiles at her as he turns up the radio. Slowly relaxing with her as he drives off into the sunset.
"Emily you know that I love you right?" She looks at him. "Yes.." "And that I'd do anything to keep you in my arms right?" "Yes.." "Just wanted to make sure you knew that.. and if it takes me loosing my job for you.. then so be it.. as long as your mines Emily."
She leans in kissing his cheek as he focuses on the road. "I love you more Aron Heins. You're the only thing in my life that keeps me happy. I just wanted to make sure you knew that.."
He smiles as she lays her head on his shoulder.
