Back At Home

After 4 days of the field trip it was finally time to go home.

Emily and Mr. Heins haven't talked since the elevator thing, mostly because Emily was avoiding him.

He sent her a few messages but then decided to stop. She doesn't know why she's avoiding him she just feels it's best for now.

After a long ride home Emily finally got to see her family. She hugged her sister before getting in the car.

"We're going out to eat you coming or do you want to get dropped off? I know your probably tired."

"I'll go with you guys I'm more hungry then tired."

Her mom looked healthy meaning she wasn't doing drugs or much drinking which is good.

"Where's Kendrick?" "He's at a friends."

Emily, her mom, and her two siblings all ate at Applebee's.

"Emily right?" A girl comes walking up to their table. "Yes?" "Emily who's this?" "Uh.."

"She probably doesn't remember me, Hi I'm Sky." She shakes Emily's moms hand.

Emily freezes. "Yeah remember we met at Arons house I was like is that her? And then I got up and moved closer and I'm like oh shit tha-"

"Wait who's Aron?" "Nobody mom he's just a friend from school."

"Wait. You know him from school? Is he your t-" "I have to go to the bathroom." Emily quickly gets up making her way there.

'What is she doing here.' Emily thinks to herself as she sits down on top of the toilet.

She waits a few minutes before heading back out.

Aron's POV (Third Person)

After the field trip Aron went back home. He is now sitting down on his couch watching a movie.

He can't really figure out why Emilys ignoring him, he thinks maybe it's because she's ready to move on.

Which he can't be mad at her for. Maybe it's best anyway. His phone rings from his counter.

He figured it could be Emily so he quickly gets up.

"Hello?" "Aron it's me are you busy?" He freezes.

"Hazel? Why are you calling my phone I told you-" "I know. I'm sorry. I just needed to talk to you it's important."

"You have 5 minutes." "Ok.. ok so you know my boyfriend?" "Yes." "Well.. well we need somewhere to stay."

"What?" "Not for long just like 3 days Aron please we have to get away from him."

"Is the kid with you?" "Yes." "I don't know Hazel he doesn't even know me, what are you going to tell him?"

"I'll just tell him your a friend please Aron."

"Fine you know where I live." After that they end the call.

Emily's POV

The car ride home was silent and Emily thinks she knows why.

"Riley and Nora go head in." She says as she parks the car in the driveway.

Emily looks out the window as they wait. 'Fuck.' She thinks to herself.

"Emily who's Aron?" "He's a friend."

"Mhm what were you doing at his house?" "I was hanging out with him."

"How did you meet Sky?" "I passed her on my way out. Mom it's no big deal can I go in I'm tired."
