"Are you going to tell him?" Tina asks as they sit down in homeroom. "Yes.. eventually.." "Don't you think you should ask Mr. Heins first?"

"No.. he already told me not to do anything." "Hey guys." Rodger smiles while sitting down next to them. "What's up." "You guys trying to go skating tonight?" Emily looks at Mr. Heins.

His hair was ruffled. He looked tired. He looked hungover. Emily sighs. "Probably not tonight Rodger.. I'm sorry." "It's ok." "But I can go." Tina smiles.

"If you haven't took a flyer home yet.. I suggest you do now. So you don't forget." Mr. Heins says as he rests his head down in his desk.

Emily pulls out her phone to text Mr. Heins. "Drinking? On a school night? Where was Robby?" He looks at her before grabbing his phone.

"Robby was sleep.. I can handle myself Emily." Emily rolls her eyes.

"Is it true?" Violet asks the group. "What?" "That he's having an affair with one of his students..?" She whisperers to them, so that Mr. Heins wouldn't hear.

Emily freezes. "What? Really?" Rodger asks. "Who told you that?" Tina asks. "A friend of a friend.. word gets around fast.. I wonder who started the rumor."

She smiles as she heads to her seat. Tina looks at Emily. "Are you ok?" Emily doesn't answer. Instead she raises her hand. "Yes?"

"May I.. go to the bathroom?" He nods. "Watch my shit." Emily says before storming out. She heads down to Henry's homeroom. As she waits by the door she pulls out her phone to text Henry.

"Ask Mrs. Zeiner if you can go to the bathroom.. I need to talk to you." "K.." Emily rests her head on the wall as she waits.

"What's wrong?" Emily looks at him. "Your girlfriend.. she's a little bitch I swe-" "Emily I know that you don't like her but I-" "She's blackmailing Mr. Heins.."

"How? And why is this our problem?" "Because.. she has a picture of.." "Of?" "Of us kissing.." He freezes. "Yo- you and Mr. Hei-" "Henry shut up.. yes she has a picture of it and she's threatening to tell Mr. Norman if he doesn't change her grades.."

"Oh my fucking g-" The bell rings. "We'll talk about this later.. Henry?" He looks at her. Still surprised. "I love him.. promise me you won't tell anyone?" He smiles. "Awww.. Emily Hays.. In love? I never thought I'd see the day.." She smiles. "Promise me?"

"Yes.. I promise. Do you want me to talk to Vio-" "No. don't say anything.. I have to go."

Emily stops at Mr. Heins door. His room was empty. "Aron?" He lifts his head up. "You shouldn't be here.."

"Are you okay?" He laughs in disbelief. "I'm fine.. Couldn't be better." "I'm working on the Violet situation.."

He stands up. "Emily what did I say?" "I know.. but are you even doing anything about it?" "There's nothing I can do.. except for switch schools and move away.." Emily freezes. "What? No.. Ar-"

Some kids enter his classroom. He looks at her before stepping into the hall.

"There you are. Where were you?" Tina asks as Emily sits down at their table. "I was thinking.. where's Rodger?" "He's getting his tray." Henry says.

"So you and Mr. Heins.." Tina looks at her. "You told him? I wanted to see his face." "Wait you knew?" Emily rolls her eyes. "That's not the point right now.. Henry I know that you like her but.. Mr. Heins is talking about moving away.. She's ruining our relationship.."

"Yeah.. I'm breaking up with her.. it's bros before hoes remember.." The group shares a laugh before Rodger sits down. "Shit I forgot my fork.. Rodger you mind running up there to get it?" Tina asks.
