"Hey." Aiden says leaning next to Emily's locker. It has now been a week since he asked her to the ball. Today is now Thursday.
"Hey. Have you seen Zoe?" "Zoe?" "Yeah the one that sits at my lunch table." "Oh yeah no, but are you ready for tomorrow?" He smiles as he moves closer.
Emily looks over to Mr. Heins as he downs the rest of his coffee while watching the two. "Yeah pretty excited."
He frowns. "You don't sound excited.." "I don't really have nothing to wear.. I can't really fit any of my old dresses.."
"Stop right there," He smiles. "I'll see you after lunch." He heads further down the hall. Disappearing as he got further.
"Hey." Henry quickly runs to Emily. "Is she pregnant?" "I don't know she still hasn't texted me." "Ok well I have to get to history I'll see you later."
"Good afternoon Mr. Heins." Emily says as she makes her way to her desk.
He looks at her, but doesn't reply. He's been this way since last week, and she's sure she knows why. She just hasn't said anything about it.
"If you actually listened yesterday then you'd know about today's test Mr. Sanders." Mr. Heins says handing the kid a pencil.
"If you get under a 70 that's a two day detention with Mrs. Hills." He explains as he sits at his desk. Obviously he's mad. But why? Emily told him that it was just a dance so what's the problem?
She rolls her eyes as she pulls out her phone. "Tina said meet her by her locker after class." It was Henry.
"Mrs. Hays why is our phone out when we're about to begin a test?" She looks at him. "I was doing so-" "Please I don't have time for your excuses give me the phone."
He stands from his desk causing Emily to sink in her seat as he walks towards her. He places his palms on both sides of her desk. "Your phone. Now."
She slowly hands him her phone. "Get to work." He says as he begins to walk around the room.
Emily bites her lip as she picks up her pencil. The bell rings right before Emily could finish.
"Have a great lunch everyone." Mr. Heins says as he collects everyone's papers. Everyone's except for Emily's.
"Times up Mrs. Hays." She looks up at him. "I'm not finish 5 more minutes." "Times. Up." "Come on just 5 mo-" "That's a write up." He walks to his desk, and pulls out a sheet.
"Ok what the hell is your problem?" She stands up, and walks to the front of his desk. "That's another write up for bad language. Want to continue?"
She slams his door closed before walking back up to him. "If you don't want me to go with Aiden then just fucking say that."
"I have no clue what your talking about," He leans back in his seat. "I'm just doing my job Emily."
She slams her paper on his desk. "I'm sure me and Aiden are going to have a great time tomorrow. Hell maybe we'll even fuck."
He clenches his jaw as she exits his room.
"You said to meet here?" Emily slowly walks up to Tinas locker. "Yes.. ok I'm sorry I acted like a bitch towards you." Emily smiles. "Same. I was kind of a bad friend in the situation." "Ya think?" They laugh.
"So are we good?" "I don't know are we?" "I suppose we ar-" "Henry got Zoe pregnant." Emily quickly blurts out.
Tina covers her mouth. "What?! How? When?" "I don't know if she's actually pregnant, but she thinks she is and Henry had me buy the test for her last week."
"Wow.." "I know. Also I'm going to the dance with Aiden." Tina smiles. "Wow. Emily has a boyfriend." She begins to dance around the halls as they make their way to lunch.
"Stop.." Emily laughs, but quickly stops as she spots Mr. Heins outside of his classroom. "Emily has a boyfriend, Emily has a boyfriend." Tina sings as she passes him.
He looks at Emily before heading back into his class. "Fuck.." Emily sighs as she catches up to Tina.
