Luca and Alberto were farther from Portorosso than they were four hours ago, and they knew that there was no where else to go. They were also too tired to swim anywhere else, and they found a place to rest until everything in Portorosso blew over. When Luca and Alberto tried finding a spot near the shore of the Pacific Ocean to rest, they both noticed that there was something preventing them from swimming upward. A net was above them and it had contained the young Sea Monsters, so they couldn't get to the shore. Alberto got the idea to try and lift the net up. "Hey, Luca, do you think you can help me with the net?" He asked. Luca happily obliged as he grabbed on to the net and started pushing upward as Alberto did the same. They tried and they tried and they tried for a whole hour, but it was no use as the net was water-logged, making the net heavy. Luca started panicking as Alberto immediately found a way to reassure his friend. "Hey, it's alright for now. We're at a---. Well, we're at a somewhat safe place, away from Ercole." He said.
"Yeah, but now we're caught in a net." Luca replied.
"The net's water-logged. We can't lift it. We'll just have to wait until morning I guess." Alberto said.
"Okay." Luca responded as he nodded. Just then, Alberto's tail got stuck in a wire that was under the water. As Alberto squirmed, trying to get himself loose from the wire, the wire started tightening on Alberto's tail, which hurt him immensely. "Ahia!" Alberto yelled, startling Luca.
"What's wrong?!" Luca asked frantically.
"I don't know, my tail's stuck on something." Alberto replied.
"Can I try to get your tail out of whatever's caught on it?" Luca asked.
"I don't think you can, buddy. Sorry." Alberto said.
"But-!" Luca started.
"Look. If you try to get me out of whatever's on my tail, you're most likely gonna get stuck, too, and I don't want that." Alberto said. Luca just looked down and nodded.
