Ch. 33: Starting the Expedition

Akihiko stared into Akiko's eyes in amazement. Alberto smiled as he and Luca walked up to Akiko. "Are we, by chance, able to go now?" He asked.
"Of course! When everyone's ready!" Akiko replied. Akihiko smiled. Toby, Bella, and Trollex replied with a positive, indistinct chatter. Atsuko, Akihiko, and the others hugged the group of five before they left for Portorosso. "We will be able to visit here, right?" Luca asked.
"Of course!" Akihiko said. Luca and Alberto smiled to each other as the group of five got ready to leave. Akihiko made sure to tell Akiko something before they left. "Akiko?" He asked. Akiko walked up to him. "Please be careful." Akihiko finished.
"We will, Dad. I promise." Akiko replied. Right when Akiko was about to walk out of the door, she turned back to her family. "Bye, everybody! See you soon!" Akiko yelled as everyone else replied with a positive, indistinct chatter. Moments later, Akiko, along with Toby, Bella, Luca, Alberto, and Trollex, walked out the door. As the group of six walked through the calm streets of Japan, Eden appeared behind Akiko. "Hey, JIKO!" She yelled. The group of six stopped abruptly in their tracks. "Ugh, Ci risiamo." Alberto said as he rolled his eyes.
"Just ignore her, keep walking." Bella said as they did just that. Eden didn't stop pestering Akiko as she walked in front of the group. "Hey, JIKO! You didn't hear me the first time, did you?" Eden said.
"Why does it matter? It's not like we wanted to hear you!" Akiko replied.
"Did you miss me?" Eden taunted.
"How can we miss you? You never go away!" Alberto yelled. Eden sneered. "Oh. It's you." She said.
"Uh, yeah, it's me, is there a problem?" Alberto snapped. Eden saw Bella and chuckled tauntingly. "And look who's going with you! It's Bella, the ugly, worthless loser. Figures, that's all you are, too. You're just an abomination as well as Akiko and her hideously ugly family." She said. Bella scowled. Luca was fed up. "How does it feel to pester someone 24/7 and not give a DARN about other people's feelings?!" He asked. Akiko was shocked. "Hey! Whoa! Whoa!" She exclaimed.
"It feels good, actually, because I don't even care about how others feel." Eden replied. Luca sneered. "You might wanna get out of our way because we're trying to do something here." Akiko said.
"Really? Like what? I can tell that it's not really that important." Eden said.
"Uh, actually, it kind of is important because there is someone out there who wants to annihilate Luca and Alberto. And get rid of Me, Bella, Toby, and Trollex. So, yeah! We need to get Luca and Alberto home to Portorosso before something bad happens to them!" Akiko said. Eden smiled as she heard Akiko say something about a 50/50 chance of death. "Well, at least you'll die in the process so that no one has to see your hideously ugly face." She said as she shrugged and smiled. Akiko was shocked. Alberto was fed up. "What is WRONG WITH YOU?!" He hollered. Eden laughed. "You really think you'll be able to do this? Please. You're so pathetically stupid if you think a loser like you can manage to live a day!" She said. Alberto felt the urge to tackle her. He lunged forward as Akiko stopped him just in time. Alberto struggled to get out of Akiko's grasp as Bella helped hold him back. Luca and Toby helped hold Alberto back as well. "ALBERTO! 落ち着く！" Akiko yelled as Alberto kept trying to lunge. Moments later, he stopped. Instead, he silently snapped. Eden taunted him with her actions as she mockingly stuck her tongue out at him. Akiko calmed Alberto down as she, herself, took a deep breath. "Are you an expert on Sea Monsters?" She asked, pointing to Luca and Alberto. Eden wanted to say yes, but she just stood silent. Akiko just kept talking. "Then you wouldn't know that there are people who want to dissect them!" She finished.
"Wait, I thought you said they want to annihilate us?" Alberto said.
"Well, if we don't do something, first comes dissection, then comes death." Akiko replied as she faced Alberto. She then turned back to face Eden. "So, why don't you let us save their lives before it costs us OUR OWN?!" Akiko said.
"Fine! Whatever!" Eden mocked.
"Thank you! Now can you get out of the way, please?" Akiko said.
"Fine, JIKO! But I hope you fail!" Eden hollered as Akiko and her friends walked away.
