Ch. 36: Rest

After hours of walking, Akiko thought it would be good to stop and rest until everyone was ready to move on. They were in a forest which was about six hours away from Japan. Everyone was exhausted from walking, so they decided to rest in the forest until morning. They had no where to go at the moment, so they all settled in the middle of the forest. Guido was concerned. "What if bears try to get us?" He asked.
"Bears don't come here, in this forested area. We should be safe." Akiko replied. Guido nodded as the group settled down in the forest. Akiko set her Violin down as she sat next to it. Luca, Alberto, Astro, and Bella walked over to Akiko and sat next to her. Trollex held on to Bella's short, curly hair. Guido and Ciccio sat nearby, but not next to Akiko and the rest of the group. They sat next to each other. Guido smiled as he saw Akiko with her Violin now in hand. "Ciccio. I'm not the only one that's noticed this, hopefully, but Akiko is a very brave girl." He said. Ciccio nodded in agreement. "I really want to help her and her friends-." Guido started as Ciccio started talking.
"I do, too, Guido. You're not the only one that's trying to help." Ciccio said as he pointed to Akiko and the rest of the group. Guido agreed, nodding. "Yeah, you're right, but the thing is: I don't know how to help her. She seems like she has it all figured out. But I'm scared for her." Guido finished. Ciccio nodded in understanding as Akiko walked over to Guido and Ciccio, noticing they were left out of the rest of the group. "Are you two okay?" Akiko asked. Guido only smiled. "Yes, we're okay, we're just thinking about something." Ciccio said. Akiko nodded. "If you need anything, I'll be over there. You can come along when you're finished thinking." She said as she walked off. Guido frowned. "How are we going to help a sweet girl like her?" He asked as he looked up a the billions of stars. Ciccio patted Guido's back for support. "I'm sure we'll figure out a way to help them. But for now, we should rest." He said.
"Alright." Guido replied as he and Ciccio got up and joined the others, who were already lying down. Akiko was lying on her side, holding her Violin close with one arm, and using her other arm as a pillow. Alberto was lying on his back with both hands under his head. Luca was lying on his back, also, but his hands were together and on his tummy. Bella was lying on her side and used her hands as a pillow. Trollex was on Alberto's forehead as he was on his belly, and used his arms as a pillow. Astro was also on his tummy. Ciccio just laid down on his back as Guido just hugged his knees together, still in a sitting position, and fell asleep that way.
"Goodnight, guys!" Akiko said.
"Goodnight!" Everyone else but Guido replied. Guido gave a late reply as the group fell asleep moments later.
