Nicoles POV
"Hm, have you been under stress lately?" Doctor Ziegler asked, furrowing his bushy grey eyebrows together as he stared at the ultrasound screen. "Why, I-is there anything wrong?" I swallowed, squeezing Justins hand as he whispered comforting things in my ear. "No, I can tell by the stress hormones your body is sending out, it can affect the baby in several ways. It can cause behavioral problems in the future, and can affect the babies' developing brain." The doctor explained. "I have been under a bit of stress, lately, I have to go to court tomorrow." I swallowed, I wanted this baby to be okay.
"Well you need to calm down, take a breath every once in a while. Eat some soup and have this one rub your feet once a day, eh?" He laughed, making me want to trickle out a giggle. "Well, the baby is fine right now, to early to tell if it's a boy or a girl. Just please rest, for the baby's sake. Let this one cook dinner and take care of the other little one for a bit every day." Doctor Ziegler said, slapping a hand against Justins back, making me stifle a laugh.
"Do you want to go out for dinner tonight?" Justin asked as we walked out of the doctors office. "Sure, where do you wanna go?" I asked, he opened the car door for me and led me in the car. "Mm, I'm thinking Olive Garden?" He smiled softly, brushing the loose hair drooping out of my ponytail away from my face. "Sure, now that you say that I'm craving those buttery breadsticks." I smiled, my stomach gurgled at the thought of the warm breadsticks.
"Your so beautiful, do you know that?" Justin whispered, his fingers brushed my cheek. His hand cupped my cheek and pulled my face to his. We kissed intimately, the kissing sounds audible throughout the parking lot. I pulled away, breathing heavily as he gently took my bottom lip between his teeth, tugging softly. "In six months, okay?" I swallowed, smiling softly. "But you'll be barely having the baby, we don't want another so soon, right?" He laughed softly, turning on the ignition.
"Hey, how did this one get here anyways? We used protection, right?" I said, gently patting my tummy as we drove to Delilahs school to pick her up. "I had the rubber in my pocket and my keys sort of ripped it a bit. I didn't want to say anything, so I didn't." He said as he pulled into the school parking lot. "Wait here, I'll get Delilah." Justin said, sliding out of the seatbelt and kissing my cheek. He closed the car door, and I watched him go to the bright preschool door to pick up Delilah. When they came back, I could see words spurring out of Delilahs mouth, ponytail swinging from shoulder to shoulder.
"Hey baby girl! How was school?" I said, poking my head in the backseat. "Good mommy! I'm super hungry, because my tummy hurt at lunch so I did not eat my lunch." Delilah explained, I could hear soft rumbles coming from her belly. "Lucky for you, we are going to Olive Garden right now." I said, she clapped happily and swung her feet. While Justin drove to the restaurant, I texted Jasmine to see how she was doing. I haven't been to her house since the last incident, Justin wouldn't let me.
N: Nicole J:mJasmine
N: Hey Jaz, how is everything at the house!
J: Good, I guess. We got in huge trouble when Ryan and I got to the house. But he apologized after, he meant it, I swear.
N: Ok..do you want to meet Justin+Me+Delilah at Olive Garden in ten?
J: Sure, Ryan is with grandma, but Emiliano will want to go.
N: Okay, see you later 💘"Jasmine is coming to dinner with us, along with Emiliano, okay?" I said after a bit to Justin, I could see his body tense as I said his name. "If that jackass lays a finger on any of you girls, I swear." Justin said. "We will be fine, thanks for caring, though." I said, pecking his cheek as we pulled in restaurant parking lot. "Hold my hand, princess." Justin whispered to Delilah as we were walking on the street to the restaurant doors. She slipped her small hand in his, he carefully held her fragile hand.
