Nicole POV
It was around lunch when I got the call. I was chewing on the rubbery frozen pizza my manager warmed up, and I was reading the local newspaper. It seemed like a totally normal day, but it wasn't. Delilah was with her dad, and I was extremely nervous. I just felt like something was missing. I ignored it, and finished my slice of pizza. Rubbing the crumbs of my shirt and pants, I tossed the newspaper in the bin with magazines and tabloids, and went to get a drink of water. My water bottle was in my purse, which was in the locker like room. I went to the locker room, and took out my water bottle. I gulped down a few heaping tablespoons of water when my phone started buzzing. I swallowed the water, and furrowed my eyebrows in confusion. I took out my phone and glanced at the caller ID. It was Justin. I swiped answer, and put the phone to my ear. "Hello?" I said, zipping up my purse. "Nicole! Delilah! She's hurt! We went to the mall and something happened, I'm sorry!" Justin cried out, I could hear sirens in the back. I dropped my water bottle, letting it spill all over the tiles. "What hospital?" I throatily let out. "Sunny Meadows- I'm so sorry!"
I shoved my phone in my purse, not bothering to hang up. I clumsily grabbed my purse, and ran out of the lobby room door. I fell on the way out due to the slippery water, but I didn't care about my pain. I just cared about Delilahs'. I frantically ran out to my car and jumped in the front seat, turning on the ignition. I buckled up, and backed out of the driveway. Then I pressed the gas, and sped down to Sunny Meadows.

I locked the car and ran in the children's hospital. I sprinted to the front desk. "Welcome to Sunny Meadows Children's Hospital, how may I-" The desk woman started, but I interrupted. "Delilah Villegas Please!" I wheezed, beads of sweat dripping down my forehead. "Floor 4, I have informed the doctor you are coming, Mrs.Sanches will call you in as soon as possible." The woman stated, handing me a pink hospital sheet. "Thank you!" I said as I ran up the stairs, technology like elevators were too slow right now. I got to floor 4, and desperately went to the front desk. I handed them the sheet, and they filled it out. I went in the waiting room, and saw a concerned Justin, forking his hands through his hair. I quietly went up to him, and sat a seat away from him. He had red eyes, and dried tear stains on his cheeks. "Nicole! I am so sorry! We went to the mall and paparazzi dropped a camera on her head, I just- I'm so sorry." Justin wheezed, fresh tears poking through and running down his face.
Tears were also streaming down my face, I couldn't hold it in anymore. "I'm a terrible father..." Justin whispered, tears falling faster down his face. "You are not, I should've been more specific, I should've put more thought into this! Its all my fault she is in here right now." I shrieked, desperately ripping off the dead skin my fingertips, hissing slightly when I did so. "You're going to hurt yourself Nicole..don't do that." Justin said, gently clasping his hand on my fingers. I gripped his hand, desperate for some reassurance. "Delilah Villegas?" The desk woman hummed through the PR, making us let our hands go and standing up quickly. We quickly went to the desk. "Doctor Sanches would like to speak to you two, enter that room there. She will be there to greet you, and explain what happened." The desk woman instructed.
We quickly rushed to the door she pointed to, and quietly walked in. "Hello, I suspect you are the parents of Delilah Villegas." The Hispanic looking doctor asked, typing in her desktop. "Y-yes." I replied quickly, eyes glued to the hospital bed. Delilah was laid on the bed, she had stitches on her forehead. "It seems that something hit Delilahs head?" Doctor Sanches asked, turning her swirly chair to face us. "Yes, a camera." "Well, when that camera came in contact with her head, it shook her little body up a bit, that's the reason she collapsed when it hit her. We had to give her some stitches, but she will be okay. I suggest you keep her home a couple days, feed her ice cream, make sure she doesn't do much activity for at least two days. If she does her stitches could break loose, and it would be painful for her to get them out." She explained. "When can she go home?" I asked quietly, shuffling by the bed and rubbing a thumb gently over her cheek. "I think today, once she wakes up and figures everything out." Doctor Sanches says. "I have to go print out these files for you, don't go anywhere."
