Nicole's POV

"You're back so soon? Well, Delilah fell asleep, poor thing had a horrible cough- are you okay?" Justin asked, seeing me throw my purse on the couch in frustration. "It's just that, I lost my job!" I screamed quietly, tears poking out of their ducts and rolling down my cheeks. "Oh...if you ever need anything, I'm willing to provide it. Don't hesitate." Justin reassured, threading his hands through my hair as I cried in his shoulder.

"No...I have a bit of money in the bank that could last us a bit on a tight budget. Its just that..I don't want to go back to my old job." I said quietly, shivering at the thought. "Why, what was your old job?" Justin asked, tracing patterns on my kneecap. "I worked at a...department store, the manager treated us horribly." I lied. "Oh, remember I'm always here, you can tell me anything." Justin assured, pressing a warm and comforting kiss on my cheek.

"I'm going to go for a run." I whispered on Justin's ear, plowing myself out of his grip and going to my room. I pulled off my clothes and carelessly threw them on the floor, no point in wearing them. I wiped my makeup off, and put my jewelry away. I pulled on a pink Adidas hoodie, and some black yoga pants. I laced my pink Nikes up, and slipped my phone in my pocket. I connected my earbuds to the phone, music blasting in my ears. I grabbed a plastic water bottle, and went to the door. "Be careful!" Justin called, as I went out the door. When I got to the sidewalk, I started to run.

That's all I felt like doing. Running away from my problems. From my pain. Faster, run faster, before life catches up. Run, hurry, run. I listened to my mind, ignoring the pain in my ankle. Eventually my legs started to feel heavy, so I stopped running. I was by the supermarket, about 5 blocks away. i walked back home, and decided to try and get back up on my feet.

I opened my laptop, and looked for jobs in my area. Most weren't suitable, such as a horse manure disposer. I couldn't find any jobs that had my necessary schedule.

Until I found an ad, for some restaurant called Hooters. It seemed nice, they needed more 'Hooters Girls' at the restaurant in my area. Hooters Girls are just waitresses, right? Odds are, yes. I could do that, right? Of course I could. I clicked the details button, and started the employee survey.

Once I was done, it said I would get an email if accepted.
