Nicole POV
"Um, I'm not your dad-" Justin started, but I shot him a glare. She would be devastated if she heard him say that. "Justin, a word?" I asked. We stepped outside, and he closed the door behind him. Explain, please." He said, deep eyes looking at me. I gulped lightly. " Delilah...she's your daughter. Four, almost five years ago, you left me. I was pregnant." I said quickly. " If this is a joke I swear-" "No joke." I replied flatly. He was silent for a few minutes, just keeping his head in his hands. "How old is she?" He spoke up suddenly. "She's four, she will be five on the 16th." I replied quietly. "Four years of her life I've missed." He whispered quietly. "When do I get her?" He asked. "Pardon?" " When do I get to spend some time with her? I'm her Dad, I should be able to see her." He said. "Um...tomorrow I'll have her babysitter bring her over after school. Delilah is allergic to bacon, and is slightly stubborn. But she's very sweet, just be careful. Don't feed her processed sweets, please." I said, counting off the things in my head. "Okay. Thanks for letting her communicate with me. You could've kept her away from me, but you didn't. Thank you." Justin said, smiling lightly. "She needs her dad. I have to go, its getting late." I said, smiling softly.
We went back inside. "Delilah, it's time to go. Say bye to Daddy." I said. "Bye daddy." Delilah said, hugging his leg. " Bye princess. I love you." Justin said, kissing her hair. "Love you too." She replied, smiling at him. "Bye, I'll see you guys tomorrow." I waved. I took Delilah's hand and guided her out the door. "Hey princess, you are coming to daddy's house tomorrow, okay? Be a good girl for him." I said as I buckled her in the car seat. "Yay! Okay, mommy." She said, playing with her fingers. I closed the door gently, and went in the drivers seat. I buckled up and drove to the house.
"Delilah, let's give you a bath so you can go to be honey." I said softly at the sleepy child. She nodded softly and stretched her arms out, indicating she wanted to be picked up. I unbuckled her car seat and took her out. Then I locked the car and got her inside. I set her on the couch and went to the bathroom to turn on the bath. I put the plug in the tub, and it slowly filled with warm water. I put a few squirts of bubble mix in the water, and went back too get Delilah. "Del, let's get you nakey so you can take a bath." I told her, and she nodded and followed me to the bathroom. She took off her clothes and plopped in the water, splashing me a bit which I didn't mind. I moistened her hair and washed it. Then I put soap on a loofa and gave it to her so she could wash herself. I rinsed her off, and took the clogger out of the tub so the water could drain. I wrapped her in a monkey towel, and helped her brush her teeth. "Lets get you in your pajamas, so you can sleep." I said, picking her up and taking her to her room. She dressed in some brown pajamas with floral designs on it. She crawled in bed, and I tucked her in. "Night. I love you." I said, kissing her forehead. I switched on her dream light, and closed the door.
I went to the bathroom and hopped in the shower, the hot water relaxing my muscles. I'm a bit nervous about tomorrow. Not that I don't trust Justin, well maybe it's a bit of that. It's just that I've never been...away from her like that, with someone that she could call a parent. But I should stop worrying.
I continued showering with a clear mind.
-.-.-.-.-
I woke up around five, and couldn't go back to sleep. So I just scrolled through Buzzfeed articles and listened to Sleeping with the Sirens.
Around 10:00, I decided to start my day. I washed the bed sheets, and put some new sheets on the bed. They were a caramel color with brown swirls throughout, it was a set given to me for Christmas. I packed Delilah's lunch, along with mine. I cleaned out my purse, and sweeped the floors. I wiped the shiny black fridge clean of finger prints, along with the counter tops. I started breakfast, boiled eggs and French toast. I let the hot, seasoned water boil, then slowly plopped the eggs in the pot with the water. Meanwhile, I mixed the egg mixture for the toast, and started heating the pan. I dipped the white bread in the shallow and wide egg bowl, and put them in the pan. A satisfying sizzle went through the air the millisecond the bread touched the pan. I was only making four slices of bread, I am not big on breakfast leftovers. I turned off the heat from the pot, and drained it. I let the eggs sit in a bowl with ice water, so they'll be easier to peel. I flipped the French toast, and turned the heat low. I started cutting up some berries, and warmed some maple syrup in a saucepan.

Fanfiction"I don't think this is working out, Nicole." I heard his voice say over the phone. My heart dropped. " E-excuse me? Can we talk about this in person?" I said, letting thick tears drip down my face. "No, I'm sorry. I'm changing my number, bye." And...
